This was fantastic! I love Raskasta Jouluo. Finland is so awesome that even their Christmas music is metal! They even have a kids band that's metal...such a METAL country! The people I've met online from Finland have been super cool too, right Tarmo? So many great bands from there as well. Cheers!
She wrote a beautiful Christmas song as a gift for her fans in 2013 and posted it on youtube. My holiday wishes to you (2013) ruclips.net/video/GdMsVStzzgQ/видео.html
Thanks Olly! Great performance while pregnant. Can't wait to see Floor, Marko and Tarja all during the same night at Raskasta Joulua in Helsinki 14.12 - wohoo! 😄🤘
CU in Hartwall Arena Kim!. Kind of Christmas person, here too 😊. Waiting the same thing. Allready seen couple shows. But this will be the moment🎅 what have been waiting.
Joulu Pukki, so when I see Santa I know it's you right? 😛 I'll be bringing my kids too. One of them have already seen Nightwish live twice 😊 My only worry is there are so many performers at Hartwall. Might not be much time for my favourites... Nah, Iets just enjoy all of them. 🤘
Even 6/7 months pregnant and she still commands the stage with her presence!!! Floor being Floor had to get that crowd stirring at the end!! I am glad you admitted it was Floor giving you the effect as the song is great but with Floor doing it is awesome!! Her and Marco doing Ava Maria from the same concert was likewise amazing. Nice reaction Olly and please have a wonderful holiday as they come and go so quickly we often don't take the time to enjoy them.
Thanks so much for that Olly ! I was just recently watching Floor & Marko singing Ava Maria, & after witnessing this beautiful performance, I thought, would'nt it be so special if Nightwish (or just Marko & Floor ), put together a Christmas album !!
Lovely! I’m glad you liked it. I like christmas songs and I love metal, so a blend of the two is great. And when sung by Floor... what more can I say. Awesome. And you just love anything from Floor, just like me, lol 🤣. They are touring with this show right now as we speak, it’s their 15th anniversary. And guess what? I’m going to see them live, next weekend! Can’t wait!
Yay, thx for this. They are touring with this "Heavy Xmas" group also this year, and I'm actually going to see Floor (& Marko) for the 1st time live next Saturday with this concept, now I know what to expect.
Had the priviledge to listen this live on thursday in Raskasta Joulua show in Oulu. Fullbody shivers, continuous floorgasms and crying att the end because it was soooo good and moving. Here are the translated lyrics from the wonderful world of internet, they are quite nicely done. O Holy Night O Holy Night! The stars are brightly shining It is the night of the dear Savior's birth! Long lay the world in sin and error pining Till he appear'd and the soul felt its worth. A thrill of hope the weary soul rejoices For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn! Fall on your knees Oh hear the angel voices Oh night divine Oh night when Christ was born Oh night divine Oh night divine Led by the light of Faith serenely beaming With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming Here come the wise men from Orient land The King of Kings lay thus in lowly manger In all our trials born to be our friend Truly He taught us to love one another His law is love and His gospel is peace Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother And in His name all oppression shall cease Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we, Let all within us praise His holy name
X-mas songs? Check out Jarkko Ahola. Well known heavy singer here in Finland. "Sylvian joululaulu" - "Sylvia's song" is one of most loved Christmas song here in Finland and Jarkko had made heavy (english) version of it. Good one! "Raskasta joulua" - heavy Christmas.
Hai Olly, nothing christmassy, but because you like those Nightwish nuggets, check out the performances of 'live @ Heineken Music Hall Amsterdam 19+20-2015'. Quality of video and/or audio not always that great but start with Ghost Love Score. Love your reactions btw....greetings from a new Nightwish fan from Amsterdam.

She sings in Finnish 🇫🇮 You know, being pregnant is in Finnish "olla Raskaana". So Raskasta Joulua (which tours every year in 🇫🇮 ) is like Greetings from her to all I'm pregnant 🤗 Dunno if I explained that clear enough 🤣but I tried 👍 All the best 🤗
Yeah, olla raskaana carries double meaning: we Finns literally say the lady 'is (as) heavy' - in her heavy mode :)(Raskas=heavy). So now Floor really had a Heavy Christmas - Raskas joulu :) In Raskasta Joulua there are some endings, which are closest put like 'Of Heavy Christmas', basically like 'Wishing of the Heavy Christmas'.
I dont know if you have done this one yet but you've been doing some of the members solo stuff so this one is a song by tuomas called "a lifetime of adventure " excellent song that I'm sure you'll enjoy. If you want to follow what Floor is singing, here are the lyrics. Finnish spelling is systematic, so once you catch how certain letters are said, they are said the same no matter in which word, or part of the word, they appear (except ng withough the audible g, so like siNG). And what's written double is said long, stress is in the start of the word, long words get secondary etc. stress. Lyrics: Oi Jouluyö (joulu + yö - Christmas + night, Nightwish = Yöhaave, Yötoive). I'll put an English translation (mine) as well, so you can compare how this differs from the actual lyrics used in the English Oh Holy Night. Actually the lyrics could be in the King James language, to correspond this Finnish, which is very old, at least 19th century - but understandable also to the modern Finn. Oi jouluyö, oi autuas sä hetki Oh Christmas Night, oh blessed you, the moment kun ihmiseksi sai Herra Taivahan. when a human, became the Lord of Heaven. Synteimme tähden, henkensä hän antoi For our sins, his life he gave ja kärsi ristinkuoleman. and suffered the death of cross. Jo toivon säde hohtavainen loistaa Already, the ray of hope brilliant, is shining nyt yllä maan, ja merten aavojen. now, over the Earth, and the seas wide. Siis, kansat kaikki, te kiittäkäätte Herraa So, nations all, you thank the Lord |Oi jouluyö, sä lohtu ihmisten x2| |Oh Christmas Night, you the comfort of people x2| Jo kirvonneet on syntiemme kahleet Already, dropped have, the shackles of our sins on taivas auennut lapsille maan. the Heaven has opened for the children of Earth. Orjuus on poissa, veljesvaino päättyi The slavery is gone, fraternal persecution ended siks Luojan kiitosta laulamme vaan. so the praise of the Creator we sing only. Toi rauhan meille Herra Taivahasta Brought peace for us, the Lord from the Heaven puolestamme astui kuolemaan. on our behalf, stepped into death. Siis, kansat kaikki, te kiittäkäätte Herraa So, nations all, you thank the Lord |Oi jouluyö, sä lohtu ihmisten x2| |Oh Christmas Night, you the comfort of people x2|
4:41 Floor: - Kaikki? 'Everybody?' ... then goes to high pitch opera. And everybody follow fluently, of course :) About as fluently and loud as Olly here :)
You say Dimash and Tuomas almost the same :) At least how you used to say Tuomas. Well, thruth to be told - now you're about there getting how TUOmas is STARTed right :) And DiMASH can beGIN in his turn.
Can't praise this performance enough.
The fact that she was pregnant, she sang in Finnish and her pronounciation is so on point is insane.
It is amazing considering Freja was almost ready to come out and join the rest of the world. Bet she had the best seat in the house

Floor held those notes unbelievably being pregnant. It was so beautiful and it brought tears to my eyes. Floor is so amazing......... Thanks Olly :-)
I'm still filled with goosebumps.
@@ollytherock7324 I am watching more Floor!
That B5 at 4.45 has the same effect on me as the finale of GLS has on most reactors. I tear up and shake! It's (to coin a phrase) Floor-some!!

That kid can maybe sing since popping out this world :) Otherwise not maybe popping that much.
Floor the ultimate lyrical soprano, shakes you soul everytime. I would like a christmas CD by her.
that would be sweet.

@@maxmattt Hey, That’s lovely! I didn’t know this, thanks!
I like how Floor pumps up the audience to sing along with her, then goes full operatic high vocals, like anyone in audience can sing along to that LOL
This comment is so true And therefore funnny as hell... I Just couldnt stop laughing full Wack for at least 5 minutes in a row
Why you doubt they can't all sing operatic vocals? :)
That's one very lucky child. Freya will probably grow up singing and playing the drums, just like Karen Carpenter did. LOL 🎄👍🤘
Lol very sweet
She sounds so adorable when she speaks or sings Finnish. ♥ She has a bit of an accent, but her pronunciation is amazing. No mean feat!
i was hoping you did this on the 19th for my birthday. well its an early gift, thanks

It is the night of the dear Savior's birth!

Till he appear'd and the soul felt its worth.

Fall on your knees
Oh hear the angel voices
Oh night divine
Oh night when Christ was born
Oh night divine
Oh night divine
Led by the light of Faith serenely beaming
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand
So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming
Here come the wise men from Orient land
The King of Kings lay thus in lowly manger
In all our trials born to be our friend
Truly He taught us to love one another
His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His name all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
Let all within us praise His holy name
