Blade mCP X BL tail boom reinforcement mod

Hi guys - here's a DIY video I made, creating a nice, clean and simple modification to reinforce the Blade mCP X BL's tail boom.
Many thanks to OghamTheBold on this trick! I truly believe that the boom socket on the main frame will wear out before this boom will ever split or crack again. In case if it does, it will be much easier to repair than it would without this mod. Again - the heat shrink tubing should be 3/16" and not 1/4" as I stated in the video - my apologies!

I just used a pair of pliers to crush the stock tube so I could replace it with a slightly longer piece of solid carbon rod. Now the wire is twisted around the shaft and the solid piece of rod is way stronger...

Are you using insulating wire or the lighter speaker magnet wire? If so, I would want to jacket that boom with something . . . .
But - if it works for you, then that's pretty cool. If you could show me what you did I could learn about your methods of madness ;)

I use just the stock OEM batteries. Plenty of power on my end. Pricey though.
