"Data sources that contain logical tables cannot be used as secondary data sources for data blending." I get this error message when I try to put the region as filter. Can you please explain what does this mean and how to fix it? I followed your tutorial step by step. Thanks in advance.
Excellent example of Tableau waffle Chart ! Just one small issue, as base Waffle excel is Primary Data Source and Superstore is Secondary Data Source and there is no relationship defined while blending. Hence whenever dragging any dimensions from Secondary Data source (Super store), Tableau gives an error. In blending Tableau typically doesn't allow filters from Secondary Data Sources. Can't solve, such a tricky situation. Can't come out from this. Any help would be appreciated
Ian Raffalovich I think you would have to make a grid 20 columns and 10 rows and then change the calculated fields accordingly. and use column dividers to get the white line instead of border for each box.
Hi Andy..nice idea. I have two questions...what was the field used to blend the two data sources on...and how to get rid of the Null values in the Region filter...I come across the same issue when I have my main dataset as a secondary datasource.
Hi Andy, In the dashboard that I have created according to category the profit ration is not getting changed for all four regions. Only in central its getting changed according to the category. What could be wrong in my chart? the category filter will be applicable for all the four regions I believe.
For some reason, I get an error when I try to use Region as a filter. The error is 'Data sources that contain logical tables cannot be used as secondary data sources for data blending'. Has anyone else encountered this error? If yes, how have you fixed it? Thanks

Same Issue here
Hi Andy, is there a way to include decimal portion of percentage ? 7.1% colors only 7 units, is there a way to highlight .1 as well ?
So easy to understand ..thanks Andy👍
Great explanation as usual. Quick question for future reference for myself: is there a way to get rid of the null option?
i learn tableau from your videos, thanks so much Andy.
Hi Andy, this was really helpful thanks.
I have a question that is,
could we able to remove the "null" from the Product Category Filter?
It's awesome, thank you Andy!
thanks Andy! really enjoyed making this chart for the first time.

Here's another method that avoids blending. ruclips.net/video/pEmdKDPdnt8/видео.html
Love this one. Out of curiosity, is there a way you could do partial boxes? So 11.5% would be half of the next box?

I want to ask this may be a stupid question but what do you use this for?
Percent of total
It's an awsome viz work, thanks for sharing how to make the Waffle Chart.

Very interesting tip! Thank you Andy!
Your videos are awesome. Learning a lot!
I cannot use "Region" to filter
i think chart doesnot work for dynamic regions/multiple selections in prompts it cant be interactive at all..
Brilliantly articulated!!!

I would download my workbook and compare how I did it.
love your videos, thank you so much
Hi Andy when I had filters from my main data source the report break, any idea how to help
It's hard to know what's happening without seeing it. I'd suggest you post the problem on the Tableau Forums.
Nice explanation !!
