shoulda mentioned that vampire fleet admiral of pistols gets a significantly stronger gaze of nagash because of extra powder, which seemingly can actually be pretty insane in certain matchups lol
I've seen double Rotting Leviathan do surprisingly well against non-AP archer spam. I'm not saying it saves those match ups, but I've seen replays where it worked well
Playing as Wood Elves, I've found the best success I've seen Vampire Coast have has been using mortars to counter fire the archers while making sure you push your front line forward enough, so the line battle is happening where your mortars can fire on the archers, but the archers can't fire on your mortars. It's definitely still very difficult and I can't say I'm a master of the matchup, but at least that's what I would try!
getting the factions with small rosters done first seems like it will come back to bite you later when the last factions are Demons of chaos and Empire
Spiteful Shot should really have an AoE overcast; basically a way to make a shooting war with Coast require a full commitment. If not that, at least cut the cooldown to ten seconds or something.
everyone forgets about chilling aura for mourngul haunters and its insanely op in correct situations 2 slows stacked on top of eachother and the mournngul will literally stick onto something and not let it go forever plus its 30% slow around him still
Great vid, nice to see a quick rundown. What is best, if you don't want to skip playing certain races all the time, e.g. vs many of the difficult races for Coast to face, e.g. Empire, WE or Dwarves? Hero squads are a real pain, esp. if they can move fast, e.g. from High Elves, they can nuke your heros or tie up multiple gun squads. Gallows giant can be okay against Beastmen and Orcs sometimes, it also roasts air stuff very nicely. Is there some fun to be found with using 2 bare bones gunnery wights with the ability that increases shooting speed (and damage I think)? The cheapest deck droppers seem okay vs massed rats sometimes, still hard to use though. Hopefully Coast can get some new units and an upgrade eventually, it is so much fun to play even if you lose at least 50% of the time vs anyone half decent.
Funny enough he had like 1 or 2 okay machups due to spell res and terror, I belive it was beastmen due to spell spam at one point being their main power before centigore changes made them to good. And one other. He was never great or even good I would say niche. He needs to be the best duelist or whatnot to be great.

What a random interaction lol. Sounds like fun
came in to get some help for mass archers and get told it's basically unwinnable crying

It would have been nice if CA gave Deck Dropper "mounts" to the generic Vampire Lords and Gunnery wight, let them support their meagre mobility.

You don’t need anything that can’t shoot.
