Markandeya didnt find baby on leaf this story is from purana section, and dont fit the narrative. In original mahabharata he finds him sitting on a bed on banayan tree, in a small island amid great flood. Narayana is white skin young asian adult, who look like a boy in twenties, as per described by markandeya, and no one knows about him since most of the time he sleeps and creates new stories through dream of this matrix world, he is the original manifestation of the god, above brahma, vishnu, shiva. Narayana and vishnu both are different, avatars are also different, but most people confuses with them as same. Even the abrahamic religion are created by trinity, because no one cares about npc, all will be reborn, and this world is fun for them.
Everything is right but GOD/Narayan/Krishna is not formless and Prahlada never ever feared Narsimha even when he killed Prahlada's father.
