      The city skyline would have been different back then! That is very cool! We have plans to go to the other islands reachable by ferry as well!

    Super helpful video, thanks! I've been to Seattle many times but taking my family to Bainbridge for the first time this summer - I'll look like I know what I'm doing when we get on the ferry now :D

    what if we don't want to bring a vehicle? Is there a way to enter for those who walk on? Where should we enter or buy our tickets?

    • @EricandAmyTravels
      @EricandAmyTravels  4 месяца назад

      There's a pedestrian bridge that takes you over Alaskan Way and to the ferry building! There's ticket booths and walk on catwalks from inside that building. It looks very nice! And walking from the Bainbridge Terminal to Winslow is not a long walk at all!
      Thanks for watching!

    Do you still have to purchase a return ticket if you are a resident living on Bainbridge Island and sailing one way from Seattle?

      Not sure but you can probably find more on their website. Link in description.

      For a car, yes. For a passenger, no. "Residency" has nothing to do with it. Best way of looking at it: They DO NOT collect tickets from passengers from Bainbridge to Seattle.

    Up to an hour wait?! It's a 40 minute ride.. may as well just drive there.

    • @EricandAmyTravels

      That is a fair observation. When we visited Whidbey Island we chose to drive the whole way. Saving a bit of driving on our old car is sometimes worth a bit of patience. No ferry rider is going to be upset if you don’t choose to ride! 😆 Happy travels, however you choose to get there.

    😂😂 it's a wonderful trip if you like taking your entire day and most of it's sitting on a dock on your butt waiting for The Late Late ferry

      It is a great trip but like we highlighted in the video, it can take a while to get on. We headed to a new island in the PNW this weekend and drove the bridge in and took the ferry home. That way we still got to go on the boat and it didn't impede on our plans.
