I believe that ahadi was actually a descendant of the selfish lion from the book the brightest star. Uru was the one living in luxury with Mohatu in the pridelands. I think that Ahadis parenting style came from HIS father Choyo(aka the selfish lion), who didn’t really like his son that much. Ahadi probably loved both of his sons more than his father loved him. Ahadi and Urus prides united and so their betrothal saved each other’s homes.
In my own headcanon Uru is actually Mohatu's daughter instead of Ahadi. Ahadi should be a Rogue/Roaming lion/Wander Lion whom he roams and travels each pride within the savannah. Ahadi's father could have been an evil lion whom he wants to rule all pride and create as his own but ahadi does not wanted that, so ahadi runaway. Then he ended up 1st met uru and he greets mohatu and mohatu acted like a father-figure to ahadi. So mohatu would adopt ahadi and one day once mohatu's time is up. He would chose ahadi as his heir and marrying Mohatu's daughter, Uru
Since the live action timeline revealed that Mufasa and Scar aren't biologically related, I'm no more sure to consider Ahadi and Uru as biological parents of both Mufasa and Scar.
The book A Tale Of Two Brothers describes Ahadi as having green eyes and a black mane, but the illustrations in the same book depict him as having reddish eyes and a red mane, so many fanart of Ahadi match the description in the book better than that book's illustrations.
Being a great king, and being a good father is next to impossible it’s always one or the other that goes through to try to manage both can’t really happen. I don’t think he meant to be a bad father, but it’s hard to be a king.

I don't consider the live action lion king movies to be canon. In my opinion Ahadi is Mufasa and Scar's father.
Sometimes there's a dark side of every book
Deluxe, Scar's Original name was Taka, not Askari.
Ahadi is cool name
ahadi said was abusive to scar😢

Just look at the trailer for the new Mufasa movie and you’ll see Mufasa‘s adoptive father
Okay but how accurate is the live action going to be

A poisonous snake gave Scar his scar
We don't acknowledge that kid cartoon lion Guard -_-

If it made by Disney it canon
Ahadi and uru are mufasa and Shere Khan father and mother
Mufasa's father is actually masego and Scar/Taka's is actually Obasi
I wish they would go by the movie mufassa
I knew it it was Ahadi's foult about scar turn evil.
