I am literally confused. When I had tried the same thing the whole stuff caught fire its self and everything burnt. But you are doing everything so perfectly . What might be the reason that it caught fire???
This video definitely needs a re-upload without the music and clearer commentary. It’s an excellent film, just needs these technical things sorting. Thank you.
@Molybdenum You´ve got it wrong when it comes to the reaction between the hydrochloric acid and the lithium cobalt(III) oxide. What is actually happening is that LiCoO2 reacts with HCl to form lithium chloride, cobalt(II) chloride, water and chlorine gas. Haven´t you smelled any chlorine during this reaction?
@@Molybdenum-h At 4:56 you´ve wrote this equation: 2 M + 2 HCl = 2 MCl + H2. The correct equation for the reaction between the black mass of lithium cobalt(III) oxide and hydrochloric acid is: 2 LiCoO2 + 8 HCl = 2 LiCl + 2 CoCl2 + Cl2 + 4 H2O
Thanks for the feedback! I'll make sure to adjust the audio balance in future videos to improve the experience. Your input helps me get better! In the meantime, you can read the text on the screen if you're having any trouble hearing.
Would love to see a video about purification!

Do you have discharged the batteries????
Maybe you were using a non-rechargeable lithium metal battery? The kind you can extract Li metal from mechanically?
@@Molybdenum-hNo I am not so sure about it . 😂They were just swollen may be due to overuse 😅.

Give me the time stamp of the equation

The music was not loud enough, I could still hear the voice-over .

Wait what… wtf did I just read, I read that comment like five times and only then did I understand, but bro confused me so much
It also was not overwhelmingly annoying, too. At all.
Lithium is missing an "i" in the title
Music is tooo loud
