Double stack trains in Australia are impressive
These are impressive to see travelling across the outback
Nice camera work Matt! Double stacks just don't look the same behind a NR..LOL Would be much better with a Dash 9 or two!!
Cheers Gregg:-)
An's are not bad , but I'm afraid once you've seen US locos in the flesh, the Aussie stuff leaves me a bit underwhelmed..LOL. But at leat you get some variety down there!
;-)
Awesome catch mate! Great to see AN power!
Aaaand they’re gone
Unreal that just 2 loco's could pull all that weight
The power of trains
The weight creates friction
Absolutely awesome!!
That is one huge train
We need more of them I think 🤔
Amazing❤❤
I'm gonna ride this train next year.
how bruh
If this america they would apply 5 locomotives but brilliant australian locomotive
Five locomotives and probably a couple of miles longer.

I’m surprised to see double stacked trains in Australia. I’ve only seen the amazingly huge American ones doubled up. Is this only on specific routes where there are the bridge tolerances, etc?
Only west of Parkes, NSW, and the if I'm not wrong, the new inland rail from Melbourne to Brisbane
Never seen some trains towing cars
Can be pretty common between Adelaide & Perth on PN Trains.

What gauge is this?

Standard Guage.
Man I love Australian locomotives, a change from the monotonous North American ones
What is the 3rd carriage?
@@MS_Trains Oh great, thanks for the info!
Extra crew accomodation for shift changes. It’s a long way between rail centres.
I don't actually like all the private operators.
Labor needs to nationalise the railways again to Australian National or Commonwealth railways
4,000 Miles
Byron Chavarria we use kilometres.
Longest freight train.
