    So cool. The product, and the instructional video. Thank you very much.

      The only con seems to be that filters are of proprietary dimensions, so one can buy them only from Lunos, and they are times more expensive than the standard filters from other brands.
      But maybe I'm wrong. Plus a lot depends on how much time should pass before one would need to change the filters.

    Looks like a cool system. I like the 12v aspect and efficiency but it's pretty expensive.

    Scenario: 100 year old house, 2.5 ACH50, 2 baths, 5 bedrooms, 3 floors + basement, 5 humans... House has forced air furnace, both baths have exhaust fans. Would you install one pair in the baths and another pair in the master bed/kitchen? Or would you install 3 pairs one for each bedroom and one for basement? I'd imagine the high use areas like bathrooms should be paired... Nice video, great technology.

    Hi, Great video thanks! Is there a recommended distance to place the fan pairs apart for optimal performance?
    Cheers,

    QUESTION: We need to add a system to our tiny home as it is a vacation home in the San Juan Islands. We are only there a few months out of the year. This system looks to be exactly what we need and nice quality. But.... is it connected to a mixture meter so it can power itself on and off as needed with us turning it on manually? I need a system that works while we are gone as the TH will be closed up tight. Thank you.

    Stupid question: How does one fan know what the other is doing if they are not linked with the 12v wires? Or do you have to remember to include pulling that wire in the walls if you are going to be able to use this in the future?

    • @475.SUPPLY
      @475.SUPPLY  Год назад +1

      No problem! Each fan has 12v thermostat wire running to the Lunos controller, which is situated in the switch box. Those wires carry both power and signal to each fan.

      @@475.SUPPLY Thank you! So if I am closing in (dry walling) a job, and want to be able to use the units in the future, then I need to run 12v wire from each unit location to the single control - which is a double box?

    • @475.SUPPLY
      @475.SUPPLY  Год назад +1

      @@nobreighner That's right! Also, if you haven't purchased the units yet, I will direct you to watch our new install video: ruclips.net/video/JqGWZRYL3q0/видео.html -- the video above is the install guide for older Lunos units.

    Would you advise using this ventilation system in a kitchen? ...a kitchen that doesn't have a fan that vents to the outside.

    I wonder if it would be ok to fit a standard unit (90% efficiency) in a van (conversion). I think I wouldn't mind a bit longer protrusion in the place where the fan goes.
    Plus I wonder if two fans one needs to place one near the ceiling and one near the floor at the opposite side (or maybe it's not necessary, but it's better).
    (Not expecting answers from 475, I'm sure you are busy with other things)

    • @475.SUPPLY
      @475.SUPPLY  2 года назад +1

      Hello Maxim P - while we love the enthusiasm for the Lunos, we do not think it should be used in a van conversion for a number of reasons. It's not the right fit for the job. And in terms of protrusion into the space, it would be slightly less than 12" of protrusion, and there would be 2 of them. Definitely not ideal for the interior of a van. Thanks for tuning in and commenting.

      Hm, interesting... Well, I know tiny houses on wheels which used Lunos (by the way one of which is Terran's, I believe you did an article on his Passive THOW too), and this kind of spaces (vans, tiny houses) are the ones that need most some good air circulation, so I'm going to really consider your recommendation, but at the same time, as I said, there's a good incentive to use Lunos in a van convention (unless I'll find a system that was designed for van conversions).
      But if I won't find something better, the sacrifices for putting in Lunos system - might be ok for me.

      Thanks again for the advice, I'll consider it. I hope I'll get to try using it in a van conversion, see it could work or not.

    Thank you. My client ordered the higher model, and the wall is only 6&1/4" thick, so now we're sticking out 6 inches. Does this effect stability? And should the outside end be mounted to the outer wall, or should the inner face be? Help!!! Lol

      I've seen several people trim this out with trim on the interior. I'm planning on doing this. Maybe add a painted square of plywood with a hole for the tube, then trim out the square.

    I have a oil boiler with a fresh air vent (dryer hose) just piped behind the boiler to the floor which is allowing cold air in all day. Could I install this in its place to allow fresh air in for combustion?

    I understand that colours of the wires change as per installation however.... @5:50 the red wire is shown going into the +ve connector of the control unit. @5:59 the red wire is shown in the -ve connector of the control unit. Have I misinterpreted this? will consult manual, but this seems confusing. Thanks.
