Fancy cool kicks and cool super powers moves are awesome indeed, but nothing surpasses Chris punches with his beefy arms, which are capable of splitting mountains in two.
I see so many people cosplaying as Leon, especially in his RE4 default outfit, but almost *nobody* in the cons I've been to has cosplayed as the legend himself: Chris Redfield. That's why I gotta get fuckin huge before my next convention, so I can accurately cosplay as RE5 Chris.
ever thought about Kiryu's moveset from Yakuza? it's very varied thanks to his massive amounts of finishing moves, but i'd like to see your detailed analysis on him!
If you'd like to learn about the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program, check out my Punisher Fighting styles video! This one deals with Air Force combatives, something pretty different.
Chris was military so his fighting style to start with is most likely what they use. Seeing as how he likes punching so much I’d say he probably did boxing in his younger years too.
Without plot armor , And the director's love to please Leon's fans, Chris will destroy Leon and every other character, this is in the language of logic
Chris can kick and do a lot with his legs, but they took this skill from Chris and gave it to Leon, leaving Chris with the punches to separate them. Chris can use all the skills to take down every character in the series, but Capcom does not want to anger Leon's fans.
This is so well done, and I actually like that a lay person like me could actually easily recognize the different styles. I still think Chris could beat Leon in a hand to hand fight. I know people don't think so but... lol
I was looking to see if you'd include Capoeira and Traditional/Japanese Jujutsu in this video. Glad to see we both caught the Capoeira roundhouse kick. I thought you'd include Traditional Jujitsu with those shortened wrist manipulation moves he does right before the throws. But Japanese Jujutsu is the parent art of Judo so makes sense.
Glad you liked it! Make sure to share the video if you get the chance, it really helps me out. I've also analyzed tons of other characters in the same way already, here's the full playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLEGMqA6EvzxnRpVae0XUkw4c8s-KXqdRZ
I’ve always loved your analyzations! I found your channel through a comment in a DMC video. Personally, with the information I had in mind, I tried to analyze the styles with Dante and Vergil (DMC) and couldn’t really find many connections. I’d love to see you analyze these two characters!
@@Godzillarex That's great. Btw, I wrote a review for your Optimus Prime vs Superman video at the comment section of that video. It would be great if you checked it out and gave me your thoughts of my review.
Besides the reasons mentioned in the video, I can't. Videos featuring footage from the RE CG movies get demonetized. I found out the hard way while I was working with Machinima many years ago.
Nice man, you have uploaded the holy trinity of Resident Evil characters. Solid work and entertaining as always. I was a bit surprised to see Chris using Capoeira. Maybe one day you can breakdown Wesker for lulz.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! Make sure to share this video if you get the chance, it really helps me out in being able to potentially analyze Wesker for the lulz haha
i know your not covering it but the best time you get to see chris do hand to hand combat is at the start of resident evil vendetta that 3d animated movie
Really enjoyed this. Chris is amazing. But I have to note, you forgot to mention the one move where Chris in RE6 picks up an enemy and throws it at other nearby enemies. Also though you mentioned the knife, you didn't talk about his knife techniques in RE6. His slash attacks and of course he's the best character to counter a charging Napad mutant. That's probably my favorite QTE ever.
I didn't forget to mention it, I decided not to include it because the video was running too long already. It's a variation of the fireman's carry seen in Judo and Wrestling, just taken to a video game extreme, kind of like the ridiculous ippon seoi nage everybody throw's where people are launched 5 feet across the air instead of just falling down haha. I can't include overly violent knife attacks as I need to keep the PG-13 rating in mind when I make videos, anything more violent and you can't monetize it. And in RE6 he literally cuts zombies in the jugular with tons of blood spray, so that's a no no for RUclips.
No worries! If I don't mention or show something pretty prevalent, it's usually due to a monetization issue. And great catch on remembering that one move I didn't show from Chris, haha.
@@Godzillarex Chris also tries to do that takedown to Wesker's legs in RE5 and pick up the subjects to throw them in RE6 more than one variation is more another Lucha Libre technique, so there would be a total of 8 Chris techniques, not including the ones CGI movies of course.
Great video Adrian! I have some future video suggestions: MCU: Crossbones, Iron Fist, Falcon, Bushmaster, Antman, Erik Killmonger, and Taskmaster. Video Games: Gray Fox (Metal Gear series), Vega (Street Fighter), Link (The Legend of Zelda series), Travis Touchdown (No Mores Heroes series), Kenshi (Mortal Kombat), and Ezio Auditore (Assassins Creed).

Chris also owns jiu jitsu, In RE1R he did a shoulder roll, When the boulder was chasing him ،like you said about Leon when Chris threw him away from him
Like I say in the intro, there is plenty of crossover in martial arts techniques. Shoulder rolls aren't exclusive to jiu -jitsu by any means. It's about identifying and then grouping them in a way that makes sense.
I noticed that with Jill and Chris you didn't mention their firearm training as a fighting style like you had in some previous breakdowns. Are you lumping it in with his Airforce combatives?
Yes. I did the same thing with Leon as well as Sam Fisher and the Punisher. If they have a real world CQC system, anything to do with guns is grouped with that. Action and Combat Shooting applies to characters with no real world CQC experience. Spider-Man, Optimus Prime, etc
finally chris got the video made by the way,we already know that the push kick is like super popular but i have a question.how effective the push kick if it was used in a street fight or in the ufc ring?

There is nothing more satisfying than exploding someone's head by punching them as Chris
Please do Wesker soon? I know some of his moves in RE5 are named after Kung Fu moves. He also appears to have Taekwondo and Karate training
He's straight out of the matrix
