    I love the thistle flower. I live in the U.S. and years ago, we had a small farm in rural northern Virginia where the previous owners had let the fields go to thistle....more of the weedy and not very welcome variety with all its many thorns. These thistle were not so elegant looking as the lovely national flower of Scotland being painted, but still very attractive in their own weedy way.

    Such a lovely tutorial….you are so easy to learn from. Love the little history lesson on the Thistle….I could just picture those men hopping around in agony! Appreciate your guidance about paint brands and brush usage. I am new to watercolor so all the information you provide is very helpful 🙏

    This is so inspiring but at first it’s difficult to believe it can be achieved to look same as the end picture. Maybe I don’t have the patience to try this one. I think I want to attend some art classes to have a one to one help. I love painting and sometimes do ok pictures… I love the creative process. You’re so good. Thank you for sharing. :)

    so would it be fair to say that saa pigments arent as strong as w + n so they arent really proffessional grade paints?
