ikr 😭 I noticed chara does this a lot and I’m still trying to wrap my head around how to doit that quick. ik you can memorize the d-pad inputs for each teammate based on the squid UI at the top, so ig awareness of where ur teammates are at is useful for playing with cooler.
that said developing that awareness esp when being shot at is something that would take me ages LOL

​@@MorayArcade If you hold down the D-pad before you open the map, it'll have that teamate already selected, and once you memorize what position your backline is on the d-pad (Pencil here), you just spam that button whenever you want to get out of danger.

@@Disko3674 just dont do it in low lvl soloq. you might jump into the enemy backline, considering what ive seen. esp not custom eliter, that thing has kraken.

looking at the squids at the top, ignoring your own icon, the order from left to right will determine what dpad input will select who. 1st teammate is left on dpad, 2nd is up, and last is right. ik its not super integral to know in lower lvl play, but it still saves u from studying the map when ur abt to die.

Moonlight always joins PBs in the right order to make Basil up arrow so im already holding it down when I open the map.

I remember when everybody overhyped Neo Splash when it was revealed because they thought Tri Strike would be the counter to Splash and Crab Tank.
Now it's good but for a different reason.

Chara has a video discussing why, but in short, a comp with 2 mid range fighters is good right now, but most of those weapons like Range, Squeezer and Machine among others have really middling paint. Pencil isn't enough to cover for this, so this comp wants another gun that just paints an absurd amount to enable the others. None outperforms Neo Splash in this regard

@@moonlitgalaxy5940 Because a lot of the other meta weapons (squeezer, bucket, range blaster, stamper) don't have great paint, and need weapons that can paint for them. There are a few shooters which play this role, namely 52, vshot, and Vsplash (and N-zap, but those are no pencil comps, so it's a bit different), but neo-splash is the most common, since it has the best paint, a painting special, and best fits the supportive role shooters want to fill right now.
Put another way, most comps want a paint bot right now, and neo-splash excels at that while still being capable of contributing to team fights.

When you’re playing and in the call it isn’t bothersome. Quiet comms are more troublesome and put the team on edge

@@penglings9247 It depends on the team environment. I've seen some top teams that keep stuff quiet and focus, and others that do better hyping each other up or keeping comms loud. It's all preference at the end of the day and there's advantages to both. Being able to com with urgency can help sort a priority system without any extra words, and quieter comms don't clog things as much but have a harder time conveying that. If your someone who prefers one style others prolly do as well.
The other factor is everyone prolly balances game audio/vs coms differently while your hearing what I record at which isn't even the same as what I hear at.
