Band Maid of course. They have enough variety for a dozen different bands and styles. You mentioned the switches and transitions. Being a musical person, you will absolutely love “Blooming.” Some of the most beautiful and powerful transitions they’ve made yet
Please check out a fairly new all-female band "ROLLING QUARTZ" out of Korea that are up and coming!!!! They released their song (Fearless) and it had 2 million views in less than 2 months!!!!! They also just released a cover of (Reminiscence) from a 70's Korean rock band!!!!!
@@surfingasongwave Phew i thought "Manners" had just been released & i was having a Bobby Ewing moment. The Okyuji surpassed everything i could've hoped for. 3½+ of constant surprises & the time flew by without anything ever seeming bloated. What about you, i know you're itching to tell me about something cool you noticed like MISA playing thru a different cab that wasn't Orange?
@@GaryHolloway-810 I grew up in the Dallas area. I didn't see why they had to make a television show about Bobby's experience. That's just a typical Sunday morning. 🤣 Yes, that was an excellent excellent show. Saiki was large and in charge! Sitting down at the piano and singing "Choose Me" was very surprising. I knew she'd been playing but to make your first appearance in an arena in front of 10,000 people takes confidence and nerves. MISA has been playing through an Aguilar since at least TGT so I knew she was experimenting, but Kanami going through a Bogner? I thought she was pretty happy with the Mesa rig so that was surprising. Her tone was fantastic all night. Miku's flex for the intro to "Influencer" made me happy. There's nothing more fun or more rock and roll than plugging into an amp, twisting the gain knob and making a lot of noise. Her little turn to pick up the feedback made me think "Okay, you've got a good teacher!"
@@surfingasongwave Hey you were very attentive. Do you know what the new song was that Miku sung? Idk if it was one of those already mentioned or another completely new song for the Yokohama Okyuji. Yeah there were so many amazing surprises, i'm still a bundle of energy with all the hype. The Maids promised us something spectacular & they exceeded all expectations :)
The lyrics are written by Miku Kobato, vocals & guitar. She is highly respected for her lyrics in Japan, many consider her to be a poet. Oh, she is the band founder!!!
Glad to see this again. Keep your ears open for the inevitable MV of *"Dice"* (with MISA's bass solo to kick it off) and *"Hate"* with MISA and Kanami swapping bass and lead lines. It might be a few weeks, who knows how quick it'll be, but it was really powerful!
Thank you for appreciating Band Maid, they are an awesome group. They’ve had to fight so hard over the years. In the beginning their own label didn’t even trust them to write their own music, they have won all they are now through hard work and fighting for it.
I never sweat the lyrics. It’s difficult for me to read and actually listen at the same time. Treating the vocalist as another melodic instrument works for me. Band Maid is groove, progressive, aggressive, and always positive. Their music catalog knows no bounds. They write and perform music that blends and bends genres. And they have HITS! They just performed a 3 1/2 hour show at Yokohama Arena with a 33 song setlist and they left about a dozen of their biggest hits on the table. They routinely have to rotate songs in and out of their sets to cover all their great material.
I love this piece by them. So different! These young women are so good and their music is growing and changing and maturing too. The best rock band in the world now. I saw them last summer in Salt Lake City. They are amazing in concert. If you ever get the chance, you must see them. You will walk away completely amazed and will remember it the rest of your life. This memory will stick with me just like the first time I ever saw Led Zepplin. I love this band and not just because they are cute, but because they are great musicians and Saiki is a voice that will haunt you. Thanks for the great reaction Maggie. I would suggest the follow up piece to this one, "Black Hole."
Good Manners? Oh, yeah! Like the unique outro, every Band-Maid song also has a touch of class because the Maids have class. A remarkable band in so many aspects! "aw, aw, aw, aw, aw, aw, aw, awesome!" Thx, Maggie! Was this a replay?
I've loved Band Maid for years now and they have many awesome songs. Band-Maiko is also awesome and they dress up as geisha. It's a mini album they made and it's awesome. Secret MAIKO Lips is a different version of Secret My Lips their Band-Maid song. Also if you haven't heard Ikaw by Yeng Constantino yet, it's the most beautiful love song ever written. Yeng is another very talented Filipino singer and song writer.
I know this is an older song but I would love to hear you react to Sugarland Stay. Jennifer Nettles has such a unique voice with just enough country twang to make it interesting. I think you would have a lot of fun with that song.
Thank you for reacting to so many different genres! I hate when people turn their nose up and pooh-pooh music without giving it a chance. I've always tried to listen to various types of music. Some tickle my ear, some don't. I'm more of a classic rock guy, 60s & 70s, (the music of my childhood and tee years) but will give anything a chance. I grew up listening to country (dad) and classical music (mom). Ode to Joy STILL brings a tear to my eye, remembering my mom.
Speaking of ode to joy, maybe you could react to a that flash mob concert from like ten years ago? It was filmed in Nuremberg I believe. The first time I saw it, I was fascinated to hear how much depthxwas added as each section came in. I was a band and choir geek in high school (played baritone in band and sang bass/baritone in choir) and know about depth of sound but was still in awe to see it put into practice like that.
I guess you haven't see the T-Shirt, "Shut up! Kanami is Speaking." The reason for it is Kanami doesn't sing much. So when she's playing a solo that's her time to speak. Reactors who talk over solos really piss off The Maidiacs. Most are just too polite to say it. But don't forget to check out their softer and acoustic stuff as well as their April Fool's Day persona, BAND-MAIKO for a more Japanese Traditional sound.
Love Band Maid and love this song but I am a little confused. This song and Video came out a few years ago.Not days ago. Did they take it down and repost it or is this reaction a repost from a few years ago? Or have I traveled back in time ? OMG ! ow wait that would be ok . That means I get to see Band Maid live again soon. Cool.
Hi Maggie, There are many tools to adjust the subtitles; including making the font larger. they are found under the gear-shaped icon. I would be interested to see your review of one of Diana's (Диана Анкудинова) performances of "Paul's Dream" from the soundtrack to "Dune". Diana Ankudinova. Soundtrack from the movie "Dune" - Diana Ankudinova Life
Have you ever reacted to an early 1960’s Australian folk-pop band called The Seekers? Maybe try The Carnival Is Over or I’ll Never Find Another You, Morningtown Ride, Georgy Girl first Australian group to reach number one in USA with this one. Or maybe their famous song I Am Australian
I keep trying to like some other BandMaid song as much as Manners----but, close as the competition is----I just can't !....it's not hat they don't consistently make fabulous new stuff !!!---but Manners floats way up high, in a stratosphere all of its own !!
Umm, this video is from several years back. They also released a video of a live performance of MANNERS, plus the song BLACK HOLE, from a pandemic stream.
Band Maid is awesome.. but that is not a new MV.... now... a word of advice.. Band Maid is best served Live... their ability to elevate the studio versions live onstage is flat out the Best Band on the planet... you really really really need to check the Live versions of any of their tunes... Puzzle, No God , Warning, Domination.. etc... also if you can buy an Online TIcket to the Ykohama Concert from 11/26/2023... you should .. best show ever.....
Do some Prime Live Mickeal Kiske when Keeper broke the scene It was Like the bar had been set the man saved clean vocals for my generation, as everything hott was growls and monster sounds at that time, He is a phenomenon.
