The best oscillator ever. My only minor complaint would be the missed opportunity to make the algorithm selection CV or gate controllable

Love every last thing about this module. It's a delicate beast, a beautiful catastrophe.

Every once in a while I look at the sheer size of the castle and consider selling it. Then I sit down and get lost in it for a few hours, or I watch a video like this and realize that they’re going to have to bury me with it. You guys make such killer stuff. I have an entire 120HP row devoted to just your modules. Sadly its my only non-black row in my whole rig.

Yeah, I'd buy a black faceplate for this in a heartbeat. I love my Castle It's so huge, but so essential.

Same, every time I am tempted to sell Castle to make room, a few seconds of playing with it reminds me why I don't :)

I’m glad it’s metal-coloured, but hey, everyone’s got their own taste.

This has been my favourite oscillator since I got it a couple of years back.
    Love the versatility!

Tuff to choose between this and the MegaFM.... both so sweet & nasty . Already have Squid & Quaid, hmmmm..... You guys make great stuff, dont ever stop!

I agree, while I think the sound of the YM2612 (ladder distortion) is timbrally so fun and dirty, the ladder distortion can feel limiting at times. But they are very similar chips. While Akamie's may be much cleaner, you're seemingly required to do a lot of CV work to reallllly sound design the FM voices. Tons of sliders on the MegaFM. I can't afford both so I use an arduino controller with my Sega Genesis lol

How did you use the Salmple as a delay exacty? Sounds amazing.

If youre still wondering, they have a video of it in their squid playlist. The thumbnail says “delay and live looping” or something like that. Basically you trigger the record input and play the “delayed” sample at the same time, and mix the output back into the input with an external mixer. And you can put whatever you want in the feedback loop, its awesome
And make sure your recording mode is set to overdub, that messed me up at first

one of my first, and still my favourite module. sometimes i think about getting a second one. but then i feel silly.

Never feel silly for having ideas. You are the only person who knows exactly the types of sounds they want to get out of their modular. Do it.

Do it! It's a great and versatile module, and two is better than one

Probably the most used module in my rack (even thought about getting a second one). Recently used it for chord progressions: ruclips.net/video/theFPy4ltg0/видео.html

I am separating myself from this fantastic machine because I have too much FM in my setup, but it is definitely an excellent module for explorations !
