Yes. It could be fixed immediately - this isn't actually complicated, it's only complicated by politics.

This gov't has no duty to anyone or any nation that supersedes its duty to secure the nations borders.

It would not take any significant amount of money for the US to withdraw from the UN Convention on Refugees, and create its own asylum law that only accepts refugee applications at the Mexican border from Mexican citizens fleeing the Mexican government. It would not take significant resources to authorize border states to spend their own money to build border barriers. Sure, the Republicans are playing politics with this issue that has been festering since Reagan, but so are the Democrats. And so are bipartisan Senators agreeing to deals that they are sure won't go through the House.

In defense of the senators the bill did have a decent chance of passing the House before Trump decided to kill it in the womb before it could hurt his chances of winning the election.

I mostly agree with Lofgren, but Russia is not a Communist country and it does no good to continue to identify them as such. It just conflates Putin's bad behavior with communism.

If Russia doesn't invade NATO after the war then she needs to come back to GZERO and apologize.
