Big Sunday kite-fly at New Brighton beach

- My 2,122nd kite video. A rare good day provided the opportunity to put on a display at a beach we seldom fly at these days.

It was indeed a good day! What a great display of lifters, spinners, and laundry. You guys do great work! I think New Brighton Beach should be renamed Kite Beach!
We used to fly there all the time, Steve, but moved to North Beach a few years back when earthquake repairs to the pier made parking and access difficult in that area. We go back from time to time, and probably should do so more often. It's only a kilometre or so further to drive!

Can be annoying when kids pull on your kites. Maybe Peter had a word with him. Great to see the old flying location again. It almost looked like the annual Kite Day festival.
That big kid can be a special nuisance at times, Carl. It did feel a bit like Kite Day for a short while when the beach got a bit busy - I didn't have any video of that. We shall probably fly there again soon, and you are welcome to join us.

Wow! Look at all of those kites flying. With that kind of weather and all of those beach goers out; it sure doeesn't look like it's Winter there.
When we wake up to another frosty morning, as I've just done, it feels like winter, but our winters are not as severe as yours, and we seldom have snow except on the mountains.

The folks must be thinking that there's a mini Kite Festival is happening. The big kid looks like the same big kid the other day. Better watch your car and belongings.
That big kid is a regular nuisance. We can't manage to keep him away.
