Thanks Robbie! To start with I was just playing some open-tuned chords based on some Ry Cooder songs (nothing in particular). Then last I was playing Dust My Blues by Elmore James; some fantastic slide playing on that version so check it out!
Hand selected mahogany PLYWOOD top?, have you not heard of the trade and description act??? It's a great guitar I have one, but be honest about it's construction!!
I agree i have one great but all laminate/plywood for the price of it it can't have a solid top I've been thinking of buying the TW4 super folk do you think.
@@briwood6328 I think you need a guitar with a solid wood top, plywood will sound OK but never get better than it is. Look around, there are some good solid top guitars about, but if you can try before you buy.
@@briwood6328 As a rule of thumb, spruce is usually brighter in tone, mahogany usually has more depth to it. I also have a Tanglewood STK, quite rare guitar that was not made for long and was a 'limited edition', and the forerunner of the 'Crossroads' model, and it has a solid cedar top and the guitar is very loud and very bright. The best advice I can give you is don't buy on line, go round the music shops and try guitars, that's the best way to find what you are looking for by how it plays and how it sounds.
Bought one very happy with it
This guitar is awesome. The guy, too! :)
Thanks dude!
Thanks for playing slide :)
No worries! I love playing slide and I thought it would be appropriate for a guitar called the Crossroads 😉
Thanks.Does it come with a pickup built in?
What songs does he play through this video? Sounds great!
