This is by far one of the best productivity videos I've seen on RUclips. There's a lot of bs out there by productivity gurus, but your video was truly honest, subtle, and informative. Thanks!
This idea is genius! I recreated two spreads for writing academic papers and for following my students thesis workflow.
this is a great breakdown. i might have to consider using this method.
❤ I love how much you explain the why and how behind your processes. It helps me understand how I might tweak your systems to best fit what I need. Thank you! And your aesthetics are 🤤🤤
love your project management content! thank you!
Why set limits, because "Stop starting, start finishing!" :) This video is amazing, thank you. Would love to see more project management related content. Have you read the book "Be fast, or be gone!" by any chance?
This is a great method for using the Kanban. I really appreciate the idea of breaking the in-progress section down into a workflow. This makes a lot more sense and limits where I might miss a step.
These flags are not as cheap as a post-it note, but if you use pencil, you can easily erase and reuse them ! Pencil also goes very well on them. Alternatively, there are small post-its of about this size; but I love the aesthetics of the bookmark flags.
Thanks so much! I really appreciate your including LEAN principles, which I had heard of but had not grasped. Perhaps you could elaborate for those of us not conversant yet with LEAN principles. I'd love to learn more about how a Kanban board could be handled specific to my situation with the application of LEAN principles.
I've been attempting to set up a Kanban board in my Bujo for processing credit card orders, where each order is a project that moves through the process. All I would need to write on the tiny project sticker/card is the ID for that project.
The steps would typically be repeated for each order, but some steps would apply only to certain orders and not to others, such as, when items must be returned, refunds logged, or problems arise. Also, there are a great number of steps, so they would not all fit on a two-page Bujo spread, so more spreads would be needed. Do you see a down side to this or a better way to handle it?
Thank you so much for going into more depth about the Kanban process and for bringing in these LEAN principles, which I imagine would create much more ease and peace of mind.
I had never heard of a Kanban! But I'm starting school this fall and will definitely be making one!
This was the best video about Kanban ive seen so far... very practical and useful, im a photographer and the way i was using kanban was not good, as you said i would have a task sitting in the Work in progress mode for the entire day without really seeing any "improvement" i know it may sound stupid but even if i knew i was following my process i was always unsure if i missed one, resulting in me going back and forth and losing a lot of time
Thanks to you i made a kanban that break down the entire process of Post processing my weddings, it help me visualize exactly what need to be done and make sure that i dont forget anything
Also, the different concepts you explored in this video were really interesting The Kaizen method instantly made me think of the book im reading Atomic Habits By james clear where he talks about The Aggregation of Marginal Gains, basically saying that if you want to improve you should be aiming at that 1% improvement on a daily basis instead of trying to make big change that don't stick
Batching tasks, standardized workflow are also really interesting. So thank you a lot for this fantastic video.
Love this video! Great idea to breakdown WIP steps for repetitive projects!!! ❤️❤️❤️
so cool! :O and exactly what i needed! gonna try to apply this for my bookbinding!
So very important for long multilayered projects... extremely meticulous & realistic...
With this clarity... would love to see more tips
God bless u
Deffo my favourite video ever that I have seen for how to use a Kanban in a journal. Very well explained and love the layout too. Wish I had seen this 2 years ago as this would have made my job sooo much easier. Thank you for sharing, would love to see more from you on productivity and your other spreads. You should have hundreds of thousands more subscribers but I will certainly recommend people to you.
Great video ❤ Would love to see more LEAN content! It would also be great if you use some of your other projects as examples (naturally alot of content-creators use the process of creating a video as an example). And since you definitley have som other projects it would be great to see some other projects 😊 Im pondering using this for uni papers, but generally they do differ a bit in flow and frequency so I don't know how effective it will be...
Hi there! 😀 Thanks so much for that feedback, and will definitely do! Will turn it into a series 😎
Please make more videos. Great job! To the point!
I really love your videos! I do a similar think to your WIP Kanban where I have a chart with consistent to-dos and then I can add projects to the top and go down that checklist completing each step. Loved seeing this method 😍
Great video! Never heard of Kanban, but it's definitely fits my planning personality. Some of the things you mentioned regarding the Japanese word, I just heard about while reading Atomic Habit. What's the chance something I never heard of, pops up 2x in the same week. Synchronicity.
Creating this page is also an example of batching. Draw the carats first, then vertical lines, and then horizontal lines.
I'm a huge fan. Thank you and more please!
Yes, make for videos for Kanbans please
Amazing video. Would love to see more
You make fantastic videos! Such useful info and great spread ideas... and wow, I love your minimal aesthetic (in both the spreads and in the style of the videos). I'd love to see more project management content - well, more content in general :)
Awesome video! Loved the lessons on Lean combined with watching you complete your kanban board on paper. I prefer low tech options like this. Thank you!
So glad you liked it! 😀🤗
This video is superb! Thank you!
Really gorgeous process videos!
thank you for, amazing content with detail and depth. Your video has been so inspirational
Hello! Loved the video, i have the same struggle with progress tracking. I'm going to use this method for my exams next period. Please do the videos on project managing! Would love to se that too. Kisses from Uruguay!
Hiii! Thanks so much and thanks for that feedback, will definitely do! Hugs and kisses from Singapore! 🤗🥰😘
This is amazing!
Thank you
How can this be set up digitally
I've been trying to find these sticky notes you are using in the video. Can you share where I can get those?
I would like to know as well.
What would you use a Kanban for? 🤓
Project managing at work and perhaps for gardening at home. I would really love more project managing videos!
Household management such as menu planning and cleaning schedules. I’d love to know the link to the particular sticky notes you use. This is SUCH a great method, and very well done video. It is a blessing to my family.
Thank you.
