I was there in 1980-81. Just a little girl really. I remember Bob Dylan being there then. I miss those times of singing and praising with Joy. Now that I am older, my only boast is Christ and his faithfulness. God is faithful and my trust is in Him 100%.

I jejoice to hear this about Bob Dylan actually being here . I pray he ,Bob was touched wonderously in his heart being in this kind of atmosphere and pray GOD would be ever so gracious to woo other celebrities to such places where the river of the Spirit is flowing. Give us this reviving we pray.

What an amazing awesome worship voice of Bryan Peterson and leaders that followed like Keith Hulen (RIP) and Kevin Jonas. Sadly Keith Hulen passed away in Feb 2021 his memorial service just a week ago. I still play all the CFNI Alumni tapes/CD's from the 1980's and 90's and watch the video uploads of some of the video recordings on the CFNI RUclips channel. It was such an amazing decade an exciting time of worship music where the Lord moved so many hearts in a new wave of music worship where CFNI led the way in pushing traditional worship barriers away and leading the congregation into a personal worship experience with God. The songs of today don't seem to have the same simplicity or is it me just getting older and saying the same as the older generation that preferred hymns to the choruses of my day.
I wonder what the young people of today will look back on, probably the same!!!

It's not you. I was a worship leader back then and used all these songs. A blessing to have CFNI. Worship was simpler. Songs were easier to sing. Many songs today should not be used they are too hard to sing. Very few are word for word scripture like a lot of these or close to it. I knew every tape by heart. Now Retired, I have to leave the service due to the loudness. Now churches are putting ear plugs at the door. I have three words for modern worship leaders... "God 's Not Deaf". But I am.

Currently in the 9th grade, the Lord has inspired me to start a project, which is basically about preserving, and archiving older Worship tapes/recordings. Some of them are up on my other channel, and I am still looking for more recordings. Indeed, the worship of the era was not as anointed as it was today!

It’s not you , I’m 28 and I prefer the music made decades before I was born compared to the modern worship songs. The songs I grew up in church with + hymns have a much different worship atmosphere as compared to what is now popular.

Remember that some hymns are taken directly from scripture....they can never grow old. ;-)

Thank you so much. I missed the CFNI. I had most of the old albums in cassette tapes. But they could not play anymore. Thank you for digitising the tapes ❤❤❤🙏

I would bet that where you live there’s a company that would convert all your tapes to a digital output like cd’s or flash drive.

I went to CFNI in 1989-1991. My Mm and Dad bought me all of the cassettes that had been made up to the time I came to school here. Such great memories. I Will Burst into Praise was one of my favorites - I still have them. Need to have them transferred to CDs. wish there were photos of the student body from the time period - Mom Lindsey would have been appalled by the casual dress. Love these. Thanks for posting them. Love All Power and Authority!!!

Beautiful compilation John! Did you go to CFNI? I was blessed to be there when that was recorded in Spring 1984. There was a very special tangible presence of God that day. God bless you. I am gonna be singing these joyful songs in my heart now. Hosanna Blessed be the Rock of my salvation! ❤️

This is great! Is there ANYONE out there who might have any videos of Signs of Love from 1984 with Peter and Dottie Bailey as leaders? Especially Summer 1984. I loaned my video to someone and never got it back, it's the only video I had and no-one seems to have any others.

David Butterbaugh surprized us with a new verse and a new song in the beginning of this. At 7:33 we trumpeters messed up because of a little pause he did. But this version is cut and changed from the original, like the part with the last phrase of You alone are my heart's desire. Not sure when it was done.

Hello, I love that I have found all of these CFNI worship services, I was born 1980, and my parents raised me on these. When we were sick especially my mom would have them playing as encouragement to fight the devil. There is one I have been looking for tho, and I wonder if you might have access to it? Worthy Is the Lamb? It was one of our favorites.

Hi Leslie! "The Lord Reigneth" was released in 1987, so it may have been recorded in 1986. I'm not certain on that. (?)
