You gotta love this Ray Hudson call. He's almost as good as the goal itself. Messi is the best player post Maradona, and it's not even close. There is Zidane the master of vision, there is Ronaldo the deadly scorer. Messi is the perfect hybrid, who I think tops them both in their respective masteries. @@ColonelRico When one is not around to witness a historical event, one loses something important: perspective. Then one comes up with foolish assessments like the one you wrote. You, sir, are making an opinion of perhaps one of the greatest players to even live based on wikipedia or some youtube clips. And they had the best stars in the world. At the time Diego landed in Napoli, no team south of Rome had ever won the Serie A championship. Maradona single handedly won not one, but two of them. Let's see who he won the against: There was the Milan of Sacchi, with Gullitt Van Basten and Rijkard, perhaps one of the best club lineups ever. There was the Inter of Matthaus, Brehme, Klinsmann. There was the Juventus of Platini. All these players had won world cups or euro championships by themselves. Maradona punked this lot twice. You really need to have lived in that era to fully understand what an impossible feat this is. Messi as great as he is, grew up in the Barca academy and architected a great team that was tailor made. Maradona went to a loser and made them the big dog among big dogs.
That may be so, but at least on this play it was his teammates that brought the ball down the length of the pitch and put him in a position to do what he's supposed to (which he did in fine fashion). When combined with the celebration and taunting of the Real Madrid faithful, that was one of the most savage moments in sports I've seen in my life. By the way, Suarez currently has 24 goals and 12 assists in La Liga play this year, so it hasn't been all Messi, but especially when combined with Champions League stats, it's been mostly him.
Suarez is usually in the middle of Messi's first attacking move , pass the ball to Suarez, and then Suarez passes the ball back to Messi for scoring. That's why he's got many assists.

He has been creating key passes and goal chances for barca all season. However he was out vs Madrid for his red card and showing unsportsmanship attitude towards the referee.
According to whoscored, Ney got 8.52 and Messi got 8.46 , just .06 different. At the same time, of 30 and 32 matches Ney got 9 MOTM while Messi got 15 MOTM. Ray Hudson needs to have his own talk-show. I would watch that all day everyday!!
a talent that comes once in a lifetime
Once ever. Unless they use some sort of special training with robot parts no one will be as complete as him. U can compare Ronaldo and Messi on goalscoring ability, what about his vision? Creativity? Playmkaing? Passing? He's too complete
@@numerousdirector2120 he is the best there was , the best there is, the best there ever will be. I think we will never ever see another messi. Hope I am wrong because I haven't watched messi at his prime live . So I want a player like him in the future to see in live to realise how good messi was.
@@numerousdirector2120 ronaldo also has vision and passing
@@henryk7636 he does, just not as good as Messi
@@bigdane8828 he's just as good. The only Messi is better than Ronaldo in is dribbling.
Jordi and Leo recreated this today vs Fc Dallas 🤌🏻
That Messi celebration is iconic
1:02 "If you could drop a tarantula into his shorts, he'll still be cool"- That is the most insane commentary I have ever heard, which justifies why Messi is the GOAT.
💀💀💀
Who’s here because they watched the inter Miami game and saw this exact goal? Use me as a like.
Ray Hudson is a legend! His reaction when Messi scored was same as mine!
So you are a Legend too....hahahaaa
@@lameckluwanda3506 haha
Who's here after he won the world cup ?
I watched this video for reducing my tension before my exam ❤
😂😂😂🔥
Good luck 🤙🏻
Won't help if you are a Franco FC fan. 😂
I can’t get enough of this match! The goals scored by Messi... i miss words.
2023 he did it again amazing
I came back to this video after seeing the goal Messi scored against FC Dallas. The Taylor-Alba-Messi combination and the goal are 100% the same as the Gomes-Alba-Messi combination, only 6 years appart!
The camera work on this goal is phenomenal; how well this moment was captured is the production team at it’s best!
Who is here after Inter Miami vs Dallas match?
1:26, the hurt and the hate in Toni Kroos' face and eyes 😂😂😂 no wonder this man hates Messi
What a commentary by Ray Hudson! Thanks Pirelli for the video, I really enjoyed the commentary.
+Lotmedia Network u're welcome
Two of the best soccer commentators in the world 2nd to none!.Not only they commentate but them also teaches the viewers the game with a little drama on top of it..
Agreed :)
I remember watching this game with my friends at one of their houses. They are all Real Madrid fans and they were in absolute shambles after this goal, Messi really did sink his flaming spear into the hearts of Real Madrid
Messi's celebration was the coldest thing in football
best commentator they need to have him for all championships im a football fan but am new to the soccer footbal but this commentator is legit
would be even better if he commented every single fucking game =b
i have watched this more than a million times.
One of the Iconic goals I've witnessed that I'll never forget.
Messi the G.O.A.T 🔴🔵
6 years later @ InterMiami 🐐
And the goal is recreated today for inter miami by Messi and Jordi😅
