The sequel to PAINTED ( • PAINTED ) puts Andrew Wyeth's 'Christina's World' into motion, and explores how bio-electricity galvanizes into discovering muscular intelligence. Light field setup with 50 lamps, thousands of feet of power cord, and careful visual effects in post. Shot with 3 cameras in 30 minutes once right after sunset, and then again just before sunrise the next morning. Special gratitude to Godspeed You! Black Emperor whose music is used courtesy of them, and by permission of Rough Trade Publishing.

Her dance is so hypnotic... It's so beautiful, really.
It conveys the feeling that the flow of time changes with the person's inner feelings.
I love it because it's a very poetic image.

@@BeforeTheWire Hi Duncan I'm confused if the performer is duncan or Dorothea but I am incredibly mesmerized and captivated (10 years ago I had these same feelings observing our street in city center and during Soho in New York City)
But post pandemic and much earlier I stopped witnessing dance that moved me so deeply.

It is very moving to see this portrayal of valiant efforts to get muscles acting together. The attempts and flailing around are surprising and beautiful. As night comes on fast, it seems like Dorotea starts to see only her goal--the lighted doorway. So she ceases to focus on how her limbs aren't getting it together, and just throws herself forward. Individual lights appear, reinforcing her unexpected success. Thank you very much for your artistry, Dorotea, and to Mr. McDowall for providing "Brief Candle" and "Painted."

Can i use this video for a lyric video of a song of my band? This amazing. The lyric of our song is about moving on no matter what happens, just keep moving on. Everything shall pass. Maybe it's a cliché, but also maybe someone need to ear that messenge.
