Watched New Heights earlier today and was disappointed with how many ad reads have been put in their show but this show has pretty few ads and the ad reads are creative off the cuff and well done which I can appreciate
He stopped having academy for a couple of weeks and viewers went mental. It’s amazing how if you’re good at ads people want them.

Just my input from first person experience: new NCAA rules are really strict about 1st and 3rd downs this year. I’m in the Million Dollar Band and we’re no longer allowed to play when the opposing team is on 1st or 3rd down. It’s ruining traditions across the nation sadly but thus is the state of college football as a whole at the moment

I am a Clemson fan. FSU is our conference rival. I enjoy the warchant. Its an atmosphere like no other. It makes it all the more wonderful when you win in that kind of environment.

Headed home from the Georgia Safely Conference in Savannah yesterday…stopped for gas at the QT (Metter or Dublin, GA on I-16), NO GAS! Every single pump had a bag over the nozzle! WTH?
57:27 it’s worth noting that Bowman was sharing reps with 2 other QBs the first 3 games of the season. So yes he had a number of interceptions but a number of those came off the receivers hands. He eventually got his timing down against KSU and arguably was the reason they beat OU.

The B10 is deeper than its been in probably 25+ years. Probably the last time there were 6+ teams that had a legitimate shot at winning the conference was in the 90s
This is exactly what I said would happen at FSU after the snub as with these new conference set ups. That snub basically screwed FSU for the long term on recruiting because now every player knows that going to FSU Clemson or Miami or any team from any conference that isn’t the SEC or the big 10 have a significantly lower chance of getting to play on a national level regardless of how good they played or how well their team does in the regular season. That snub was most definitely a message to players “go to SEC or Big 10 teams cause that’s what we’re selling now”. Teams like FSU and Miami, and more recently Clemson, that have a historical historically been able to take on the titans and win regularly now don’t have the ability to draw talent from high school like they did in the past. Now a team like Ole miss, Arkansas, or South Carolina look more attractive because they will get a spot that as a 10-2 over a 10-2 FSU, Clemson or Miami regardless of how dominant they were in most of the season. That snub should piss off every fan from any conference because it will shape perception for the foreseeable future.

I walked into the occupational licensing offices in Tallahassee to submit to update my real estate license. No joke, I had to place a phone call to my boss and take time out of his day because the guy at the window couldn't understand that I was simply asking him to process the form. Part of being in the state capitol is good, more political connections and stuff in that vein is good, but on the flip side, you have a million bureaucrats like that who haven't the interpersonal skills or territorial knowledge.

A conference by conference pairing, 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2, … might be far fetched, or it is college basketball. Definitely a strength of CBB.

The SEC may be better. But didnt LSU and Texas A&M just lose as favorites, one to a Big 10 team? I think the SEC is the best conference but there is bias that helps them. Ha Alabama been great? Yes!! But they got into rhe national championship game when they didn't even win their conference. No one else benefits like that. They won the championship that season but as a result of bias putting them in position to do do. Way back when Florida won their first in the 2000s, they had a worse loss than USC but got the nod over them. The best conference YES. But extra chances helped a bit and they took advantage of them.
Games aren't played on paper...unless when trying to figure out the conference streagth then we will throw out all on field results and play the games on paper...josh..josh..josh

I think you are mistaken about the amount of new pieces for KU. The retuning production number is not as high as it was last year, but a big chunk of that is Jalon Daniels being hurt most of last year. He’s not returning production statistically, but is a big improvement on the field. Other than that there’s only 3 new starters on O and they’re being replaced by 4*&5* recruits with 3 years of experience in the B2.
It’s not quite as good on defense but still only replacing 4 starters. Again one of those is being replaced by a group of 4* recruits.

ND is better than Penn State (who beat an WVU unranked team), Miami (who beat a hapless unranked Florida team) and Oregon who couldn’t pour piss out of a boot with directions on the heel against a FCS opponent in Idaho.

I liked hearing Cole's thoughts on what he saw from Bama. The speed at linebacker is what stood out to me, but I wanted to hear your thoughts on that game too Josh.
Alabama was downright dominant to a level I haven't seen in a few years. WKU gained 8 yards on their last 22 plays, 7 straight 3 and outs. Yards per play difference was 9.23 vs 2.16. There were a lot of blowouts, but I don't think anyone deconstructed their opponent the way Bama did.
I’d argue Georgias destruction of Clemson (once they adjusted to their zone D and got the run game going) was equally as impressive but not as dominant. Then again, what else do we expect from these two programs 🤷🏼♂️
College football drama is the best. Thays why i love being an AU fan so much. Also ....im not feelin Tennessee this week. I think State wins, covers, and beats the Vols by 2 tds.

I been a big 10 boy all my life. No way they have passed the SEC. I do believe it hasn't been the difference gap that some people, especially in the south, have always believed it to be. It varies from year to year. The list of top 10 teams matching up and point spreads, I would have only took Ohio St plus the points and USC. But I would take Georgia to win the game. Oregon would be a toss to me. The rest I would go with the SEC. Now let's take these same matchups and compare them over 20 years. Or 50 years. In those matchups it would be more competitive. In that scenario, I would take Ohio St over Georgia. Michigan over Ole Miss. USC over Tennessee. Washington over A&M. Wisconsin and Missouri is close, but I'll say Wisconsin by a whisker. Penn St takes a tough loss matching up with Bama. Everyone does. What I love about the SEC fans is their loyalty. People in Tennessee will think they are historically better than USC. Mississippi fans think the same compared to Michigan. Georgia could have a legitimate argument, but they have had many perks and valleys. Recent history has them on a peek they have never had before. But they would lose their case on an historical basis. What really sets the SEC apart is even A&M, Arkansas, South Carolina ECT all think like Tennessee and Mississippi. That they are powerhouse football schools who aren't what they think they are. The big 10, for the most part, are more self aware. The Iowa's, Illinois-eye😊, Minnesotas,, Michigan St all understand their place in the food chain. Interesting that two traditional schools like Nebraska and Florida didn't even make the list. Just my opinion

That FSU Warchant thing is a TRAVESTY and the poster child for just how little these modern athletic directors, who have no ties to the schools that employ them, care for their school's traditions or unique gameday atmospheres. They've been strangling the Pride of the Southland Marching Band at Tennessee for years too. Every kickoff, they play "Joker and the Thief." Not Rocky Top. Not anything related to the school. Just crappy canned music from a stupid playlist. Opposing players used to talk about how they'd leave Neyland hearing Rocky Top in their nightmares for weeks after. Not anymore. They don't even play Rocky Top half the time anymore. Now they play Welcome to the Jungle. HOW TENNESSEE IS THAT?

Went and watched Baker and Oklahoma play at Neyland and that is still my favorite game environment. Was so spoiled that when we went to Colombus two years later I was unbelievably disappointed. I became a fan of rocky top after that game and the first 3 quarters it rivaled Boomer Sooner in frequency lol. And that’s saying something.
Even though they are way up this year(it seems), it will be the Tennessee loss that gets Napier canned. It's like UT losing to Kentucky.

I think the gap is going to lessen and lesson because of NIL and I believe The transfer portal is making all the teams more competitive because you have quality players on every team so things are going to get tighter as the years go by I believe which is a good thing.

I'm not familiar with Florida state's war chant. That sounds very similar to when Scott Frost started cycling through different music for Nebraska's tunnel walk.

Good GRIEF! As I thoguht, games are as long or longer and it's due to the fact that there is now a two minute warning, timeouts galore, and commercials than can't be counted without a calculator.
