I met the owner a few weeks ago. Really nice guy. Let a car group drive around inside the park and take pictures. A few days ago we help a car show in it. Got a lot of great footage driving up and down the path.

Someone should turn it into a Renaissance Fair. They always do well.

Great idea! When driving through that area I always stop and take pics. I bet if they let people help they could get some free work. I think people who have memories of this place would love to be part of redeveloping this area for something good like an eco village.

I live 6 miles from dogpatch. I went there every summer all the time .even had a season pass. I know or acquainted w previous owners . Several attempts from several ppl have tried to make a go w dogpatch after it closed in 1991. I had a job at dogpatch. Anyway I'm currently involved w a outreach on top where The Hub is and the motel is still operating. I know the woman who owns The Hub skating rink and other investments there. She helps w needy ppl in the community. Every thing at Dogpatch has failed since it closed. God has a plan for what is left of dogpatch. It's a part of my heritage and on my future to minister God's word at Dogpatch. Lots of money has been wasted and time to get something going at dogpatch. But now it's God's turn .

I once had a parrot named bud. That's a terrific name. The only problem was he pretended to own dog patch usa. Would dress up in human clothes. Very odd that parrot.
Must say there is a strange resiblance to my parrot bud and Mr "Bud" Pelsor. They even speak the same.
    Hmm...
    Carry on.

Is this info still accurate? I have family in the area and last I heard the owner was sued and lost the property (maybe it was a different owner, this was maybe 3 years ago). I guess the new owner was making renovations and teens kept coming onto the land and riding ATV's, etc. He supposedly put up no trespass signs and gates/chains up to keep them away but they kept coming and riding. One teen ran into a gate or chain and wrecked and then sued and won (stupid, IMO, the teen shouldn't have continued trespassing). But anyway, I heard the owner either lost the property as a settlement or had to sell to settle it and my family said nothing more appears to be in the works. Very sad, IMO, as this area of AR really needs something to help the economy other than motorcycle rallies. And by all the photos I found on a Google search, I can see plenty of people still trespass on this property.

A Smith You are referring to the previous owner, Stewart Nance.

In relation to Pruett Nance, he hit an unknown wire between two trees at neck level while riding the ATV. Clear signage should have been there about the presence of the wire, which was not there, and thus Stewart Nance rightfully took over ownership due to the safety violation of the previous owner. Because the previous owner failed to pay the court judgment, the deed of the property was given to Pruett.

Yes there was an accident at dogpatch a few yrs ago. The owner was sued and someone else got the park. But now he is already selling it. It was not a fair law suit but now American Heritage has pulled out and moved back to California. And the woman who has property. The Hub and other investments is trying her best to Give it to God. She helps the needy. And it's always been a sitution there since it closed down. But God has a plan. Do not kn I w what is going to happen w the park.
