Excellent Demo thankyou. Most of the DO35's for sail dont have the handbrake assembly with it, what are the reasons to buy one with or without the handbrake assembly, thanks?

When it comes to choosing a DO35 hitch with or without the handbrake assembly, it primarily depends on your specific needs and preferences.
Here are some reasons to consider each option:
      With Handbrake Assembly:
Added Security: The handbrake assembly provides an additional level of security when parking your trailer. It allows you to securely lock the trailer in place without relying solely on the towing vehicle's brakes.
Legal Requirements: In some regions or for certain types of trailers, a handbrake assembly might be required by law for safety and regulatory compliance.
Convenience: Having a handbrake assembly can make it easier to stabilize the trailer when unhitching or hitching up, especially on uneven terrain.
Emergency Use: In the event of a failure in the towing vehicle's braking system, having a handbrake assembly can serve as an emergency brake to prevent the trailer from rolling away.
      Without Handbrake Assembly:
Simplicity: A DO35 hitch without the handbrake assembly can be simpler in design and operation, which might be preferable if you value simplicity and ease of use.
Weight Savings: Removing the handbrake assembly can reduce the overall weight of the hitch, which may be beneficial if you're concerned about the weight of your trailer setup.
Cost: Hitches without the handbrake assembly are often less expensive than those with it, so if you're on a budget, opting for a simpler model could save you money.
Compatibility: Depending on your trailer setup and towing vehicle, you may not need or prefer the handbrake assembly. If your towing setup already includes adequate braking systems, you might find that the handbrake assembly is unnecessary.
Ultimately, the decision between a DO35 hitch with or without the handbrake assembly comes down to your specific requirements, budget, and preferences. Consider factors such as safety, convenience, regulatory requirements, and your towing setup when making your choice.

Fitting the hitch with the nuts to the top looks very sloppy. Why wouldn’t you fit them underneath??

@@TowbarsAustraliayoutube I got one with a hand brake in the hopes it will have a lower profile for opening the back door of my Pajero, but now not sure if it will fit. Will find out this weekend when I try fitting it. Luckily its easy to remove and can look at doing something later or getting a specialist to change the hand brake, which in my case might involve cutting the mounting plate, something I really don't want to do on my 2 month old MDC camper! I got the DO35 because my camper came with a polly block and I need to change the ride hight for better towing.
