Those run great when equipped with the diesel engine getting 18 to 20 mpg. The V10 got 6 to 9 MPG … I had a fleet of Ford diesels and a few V10 to know what I’m taking about.
Sucks they only paired that 6.8 to a 4 speed. Would have been way better off it it at least got the 6r60 in terms of fuel mileage. Pulls practically just as good as a diesel though and lasts forever.
@@darkmatter7208it’s upsetting they didn’t switch the gas motors to the 5r110 when they started putting the 6.0 in them. Only the 6.0 got the 5 speed. And unfortunately it’s not a plug and play swap either. I’m sure there’s ways but it’s not easy.
@@ek2013_ Since I’ve commented last, the 6.8’s (3 valve only) did get the 5R110W in the F-Series. I think later on when they went back to the 2 valve like in a 2015 f450/550 they got the 6 speed.
What do you mean sound like a V10? You can’t compare a Lambo V10 to a truck V10. Very, very different in terms of design… the biggest being the Lambo has a flat plane crank, where the ford is a cross plane…
@@Canhead56 any other? The 6.8 Triton was there only v10… Dodges 8.0L sounds way better if you want to refer to another truck v10… this also has a really quiet toned muffler, the body is almost 2 feet long…
Idk if y’all will see this but I am going to buy a 12’ G37 S this year and wanted to know if keeping factory converters, removing the y pipe and resonators, adding 2 flowmaster super 10’s instead of the big muffler in the back was possible. If so, how much would you charge for that?
if anything keep stock resos and delete muffler or swap rear muffler for tiny mufflers like vibrant ultra quiets or something itll be raspy and annoying af and youll be "that" VQ owner, swap the cats youll pick up power from hi flos. Stock Y pipe is trash either do an X pipe or what would be crazy would be H pipe
@@dakotajones8010 actually, I’m American muscle but I just love the V6 sound for some reason. Funny thing, my family doesn’t own any v6 cars. I don’t want to spend crazy money but I want it to still be really loud

There's no market for a 3/4 Ute same for the suburban 3/4 models cause most wanted a diesel powered ute, plus the Expedition EL replaced the Excursion in the 1/2 ton market.
I remember back in 08’ they were selling these gas guzzling monsters for dirt cheap. Nice truck!
