Fun Fact: the Dom R35 (thankfully not the Dom R34...) is in the Build Fighters universe built and piloted by Mr Ral, a character who is literally just Ramba Ral except in a polo shirt and possibly having a midlife crisis. It's not everyday you get to see a long-dead Gundam character hitting on someone's mom. Build Fighters has quite a few characters that are basically just Gundam characters from other universes but not dead and living (comparatively) normal lives. Some of my favorites include the Domon and Kyoji kids hanging out at a festival towards the end of the season and a still-alive Haman Karn.
Fun fact the colored circles on the Dom and Rick Dom's chests are Beam spray guns, despite not having the power to damage a suit directly the Beam spray gun is bright enough to blind an enemy pilot temporarily. Essentially a chest mounted flashbang
It does become beam spray guns in future models, although I bet they prefer it as a flashbang since future Dom and Dom related variants are already capable of using beam weapons and even newtype weapons
The Dom went from one of my least favorite mobile suits during my first watch of the '79 show to now being possibly my favorite MS. FINALLY got the HG Dom/Rick Dom kit and I love it. If I had the money and space for painting Gunpla, I would absolutely paint a custom.
I bought an HGUC Dom specifically to paint it like the Dom Funf from Zeonic Front. I don’t know if I’ll modify the shoulders to have the more rectangular shape, but I’m definitely painting it green and giving it the System Weapons Raketen bazooka (the same bazooka the Dom Tropen has, but with more detail and more option parts). And SHIT, I think I passed up a Dom R35 recently. I forgot it has double-jointed elbows. I’d get one just to steal those joints.
I still hope bandai makes none sd kits of the sd gundam force trio in Hg form and or even universe and also a 1/144 RX-78-1 that's not the local type and not a robot spirts in HG form
SD Gundam Force is largely despised in the West, for example, and is obscure in its home country, so they probably don’t even see a P-Bandai is worth it. Maybe for the 50th anniversary in 2029.
The origin Dom is honestly my least favorite, in fact I outright hate it. We could’ve gotten a proper prototype Dom WHICH could’ve led to alternative kits such as the cannon doms or the tropical Dom considering they have the same build BUT NOPE. We got a Zaku cosplaying as a Dom.
I feel ya bro. Origins Proto Dom just feels off when put along with the rest. Too skinny and the Zaku/Gouf-eske head its uncanny. And never got a proper Dom on the line after its release. No matter how good of a kit it is, to me its just a Gouf Flight Test Type with different shoulders and a mask made to resemble a Dom
I thought about it, but since I don't count the Galbaldy B as a Gelgoog or the Hi-Zack as a Zaku, not fair to count the Dreissen as a Dom. I do LOVE the Dreissen tho!
In my opinion the dom doesn't get enough love. While I got the Rick Dom 1 and 2, and Char's Dom, they definitely need a redo for the design. Origin Zakus are a great example of how to remake old kits

You can use double side tape. Put them into the peck to make it sticky so the peck will be stronger
