      I think he have always been holding back just because of how kind he is. It was only when his friend's life was threatened he unleash his full power. @@KeoNzit was probably more physical, he clearly wasnt holding back in the first half, he needed to win the tournament to help his mom and same with when he fought the goons at the cafe. That’s his max effort. He said he didn’t land his right as much because he didn’t see the oppening. For the second half he said he went up two weight classes and it shows them celebrating when he successfully punched out the stack of tires meaning he couldn’t do it before, so his power definitely went up dramatically during their training period. They also trained with each other specifically with who they were going to fight in mind.

    • @chewjyable
      @chewjyable Год назад +11

      @@bigheadrhino yes exactly! At the end of the first episode where he fought with this giant he wasn’t holding back. And before that he fought the goons with both hands. Koreans prefer fighting with bare knuckles; if a weapon is shown then most likely someone will die so it is avoided. I speak with conviction that most Korean men get more upset than scared when they see a weapon.

    • @stefanomarkulin
      @stefanomarkulin 7 месяцев назад +3

      There is very strong gun control in Korea. Even gangster in Korea don't have guns. Because every Korean man is a gun expert. All Korean men have been trained in the military for 18~24months. So the moment a Korean man holds a gun, it becomes an organized real war. Therefore in Korean movies that pursue realism, there are no gun fights, but only fist or knife fights.

    It infuriates me that they don’t kill. Imagine how much easier it would’ve been if they killed him here when they had the chance

    I think that right hook to In-Beom’s ear is what Gun-Woo means when he says his right hand is stronger. I think he holds back bc he doesn’t want to do that to someone in the ring (or something too dangerous at least)

    Anyone else think it’s crazy that whenever one or both of the two main characters end up fighting a whole gang of bad guys, they can only use boxing (punching) to fight back. Don’t get me wrong, I do like watching those fight scenes and they are very good at boxing, but I’ve also seen plenty of other fight scenes from different movies and TV shows which were mostly martial arts types of fights (like karate, Kung fu, or wing chun), and in half of those scenes, the main character would end up fighting a lot of people at once and it usually wouldn’t take very long for him to dominate each of them in the fight. I noticed, however, that if you compare that to these boxing fights in Bloodhounds, the martial artists would have a better stand against the bad guys than boxers do. I know that it depends on how good you are at boxing or martial arts, but still, I feel that punching isn’t the only technique you can use to defend yourself. They should at least try kicking more.

      The boxing in this series is what makes it interesting, cause they aren’t using MMA.

      This is a movie, Boxing is not deigned for you to fight multiple guys swinging baseball baseball bats at you. Also boxing is just the base, add kicks and takedowns techniques and you get MMA!!!
