I stumbled upon the weirdest Coraline content farm that is run almost completely by AI. Of course, RUclips is known for having a lot of weird things on it, especially Content Farms churn that out videos that would make your nightmares shriek in terror. Add in the hot mess that is AI, and you have a recipe for disaster! But not all content farms are aimed at creating unsuitable content for children - some are designed to completely mislead YOU with AI. And this is where our adventure begins, as I stumbled upon a very strange channel that is pumping out AI generated Coraline 2 trailers daily. And they've done this nearly 200 times! This video gets very nerdy and very specific into one very strange Coraline 2 AI take.

They've been doing it for a while, and I can't believe I miss the days where fake movie trailers were just troll videos.
Now People can use voices from the movie, coble new scenes together, and produce a trailer that tries to make you think it's official.
@@chrimsonphantom Even sadder is that I remember seeing a comment that said that A.I. trailers are better than the movies today and how they will replace Hollywood for making horrible films. Like you have to be this low in life to support A.I. just because you didn't like a new movie that people do enjoy or most will defend in 6 years. 😅

Trailers are the easiest for AI to fake, since they are usually made up of random unrelated snippets that can be generated separately.
Neil Gaiman may write another one, but I thought I heard that LAIKA Studios has stated that they won't ever make a sequel to any of their movies. Maybe that's just in my head though?

Back in the old days of RUclips people would have to get creative by making fake trailers of movies ether as a fun way to flex there editing skills or just to trick people for the sake of it, I miss those days already.
RUclips need a quality control with these ai powered content farm and ai generated fake trailer and stop these faker from posting
The algorithm is AI, it's just robots talking to robots 🤖🤖 at this point, and that's the real problem

I remember when people put out fake trailers for popular movies, and it was just a troll move. Like you clicked on a trailer for an upcoming movie, well here is a rick roll. Now you have to see a completely fake movie trailers, that is meant to deceive people into thinking it's real. I remember one youtuber got tricked into doing a reaction off of one, but it was pointed out that it was fake. Yet they use footage, A.I generated voice of one of the actors, and I even seen green screen manipulation of footage.

I think what really drives me up the wall about these fake trailers is that there’s really no point to them. I’ve seen other videos that utilized generative AI in far more creative ways, like reimagining “Star Wars” or “Ghostbusters” as a 1950s sci-fi. At least those offer a fun alternative way of reinterpreting the films through an hypothetical lens and don’t try and trick you into thinking they’re real - not that it requires much brainpower to realize that.
Coraline 2. A mysterious force beckons Coraline from deep within the woods, going in she is transported to the other world. Where it seems a new host greets her, instead of wanting to kill Coraline. The entity wants to switch places, replacing Coraline and to be free from the other world.

the only valid fake trailers are when fans make trailers for movies of their non-movie franchises that they actually want to see. shout out to when i was kid and saw a fanmade wings of fire trailer that i hoped was real but it wasnt

If youtube is worried about becoming bloated by how many videos are uploaded to their servers per day, they could put a '10 videos a day' limit on channels. That'd atleast slow down farms. Or have their algorithms punish channels that post suspiciously fast but flagging them/hiding them in results.
they do have a daily upload limit (i've hit it), but i imagine that goes away if the channel is big enough (has enough subscribers)

I want to know what created the Space that the Other Mother moved into. She admits it was something abandoned that she just made use of. We don't even know what the Other Mother's... species(?) is like outside of pocket dimensions.
@@greenhowie There are actually a few theories about that. it is actually believed that she was the original owner of the house coraline moved into. In which she discovered the other world. problem was that she got corrupted when trying to harness the power she found there.
Honestly, I think Coraline's story was complete in it's own way and doesn't really need a sequel. Don't get me wrong it's one of my favorite movies ever.
Before I started watching I noticed how Coraline looks like Alita and found it odd. Now, seeing that there are also fake trailers for Alita Battle Angel on that channel, it all makes sense.

I mean... what did you expect? As soon as ai generated imaging (and we all know how shady its creation was in the first place by theft) was made accessible to the public, you would expect the obvious misuse of it. Like all things? People misuse the internet and words all of the time.
I wouldn't be suprised when ai improves more, that content farms, cheap sketchy studios, and more would (and are) using it to create movies and such. Then the bigger companies will use them. And blah blah blah- I could go on and on about this, but I won't because you weren't asking for a lecture. Sorry.
Despite the being disappointed by humanity again, it's not all bad- just really easy to focus on the bad. Generally it's easier to remember bad things than good- so if you look for the good intentionally, you'll see there's actually a lot of nice things that happen.

This is an absolute trainwreck. I think something has to be done about these channels; nothing is worse than taking advantage of children, and these people think that getting away with this is okay. We need to corner them, make them feel intimidated. When they finally stand down, then the youth can be safe again.

With all the Coraline variants. I think a horror fae story about a girl coming across versions of herself, everyone is like her but different. Would be a very interesting read or at the very least a good movie to watch. (also no multiverse involved.)

Coraline 2 after defeating the Beldam. The true entity of the other world begins to stir, a new host needs to be found to keep it asleep. Coraline was the one who took away the Beldam's power, so she must be the one to take her place. New doors emerge taking unsuspecting people into the other world. Coraline is forced to enter once more, where a mysterious force tries to get her to stay. Now Coraline has to venture into this unstable world, free those that have been trapped, and find a way to seal up the other world for good.
AI is a horror on its own
This is the absolute snarkiest I have ever heard you be and it's awesome. Typically you're as sweet as treats and your voice is glowy as moonbeams - even on the "most twisted" tales (which is quite lovely obviously). Still this variation in mood and tone is intensely amusing.
This channel may finally give me the Coraline X Cars crossover that's haunted me in my nightmares.

I think the Coraline with a line across her face was originally from one of the extra features about the movie, where they show the unedited figures of the characters, with their interchangeable faces with a seam at the eyes so they can swap expressions for animation. They probably then used the same image with ai to alter it for other videos, and it just messed with that seam and made weird eyelashes or something.

The version of Coraline with a line between her eyes is actually not bad, because thats how stop-motion character look before editing. Wendell & Wild looks like this too, as the creator chosed to keep the line, and it's the same guy who made Coraline, so. If there was ever a sequel, it would possibly look like this

I remember a time when fan trailers had real effort applied, people took scenes from other films, created montages with after effects, did something epic to speculate about the future of some saga... now they just push images generated randomly in automatic editing software and post any result on RUclips to generate views.
Really though, AI gets on my nerves, and kind of terrifies me, seeing that so many people are dumb enough to fall for it being real, or that people are using it in place of actual creativity. I hope they don't do a Coraline 2, because mainstream Hollywood is so stupid right now, and void of creativity or ambition.

3:38 The odd line between her eyes looks like it's an artifact left over from behind the scenes photos. AI models are trained on a number of pictures scraped off the internet. The puppets used in stopmotion films sometimes have a seam between their eyes, so animators can easily switch out expressions in the eyes and mouth. It's typically edited out in post. The movie Wendell and Wild uses it as a stylistic touch! Seems like it bled into the AI generated images.
