(PATCHED 02/01/2024) A new way to fish!. Generating 2880 scrap an hour solo.

- Thanks to @sigbog I was able to figure out how to generate 2880 scrap an hour and have the ability to fit 2 maybe 4 players. Tripling the scrap gain! This uses a unconventional freehanded technique. WARNING! THIS IS HARD. You must practice on a build server. Once you understand the technique it becomes a lot easier to manage. You need patience. This took me days of trial and error to come up with this method. Massive thank you to everyone watching. Please let me know how to improve my videos down in the comments!

I will 100% be using this next wipe, I most likely will build a small starter base near by then immediately get this guy up and running.. I tested it out on a build server last night and got just under 900 scrap in half an hour.. and I was still mastering where to throw my rod.. thank you so much you have made the start of wipe much more enjoyable

Just got this to work on a build server very quickly (about 20 minutes to learn). I used stone barricades to help guide after the roof. if you build say a 5x5 with high foundations (except where you stand to fish) then you can be safe to set up the roof inside a closed building easily. Could be tighter if you are creative. This is a great new concept well done!

@@BooBooMushu I realised this morning I was doing it wrong. I could set up a guide and you still had to reel in (easier than old methods) but yours has auto delivery. Back to testing!

the best part is that its so funky and weird its not going to get used too much and will be in the game for a long time i imagine. But for those that do use it will have a easy time getting scrap
Very nice, I would bet the freehand could be attached to the main base from the other side but its still a pain to work out how...then again you worked out them crazy ninja bolty turrets. The secret is freehand connecting to the base from one side then adding the easy side second.
I couldnt figure out how to connect. Since over river is sloped different, the foundation isnt constant.

Wow this is just awesome, going to try this. also problem with ocean is that its too flat, even if you built right under the river where it meets the ocean its too shallow to catch sharks. I do wonder if adding ramp or roof help glide.

Bro did you ever use a drone to move the float? If it's possible, then you can cast rods in 3 and the 4th teammate will use a drone to move the floats.

Also, if you're looking for content: I have a design for an autocrafter that switches blueprints consistently to craft armour sets (or whatever) with only one crafter.
Its really finicky to pull off because of some quirks in handling the blueprint swapping like timing, resources, and queueing, so no one else really has a working method for it that I've seen yet.

If you use a couple shop fronts instead of walls so raiders can look inside and see there is no loot you could leave those foundations as stone and not worry.

Yes, but your river would have to be the same slope as ramps. which is very hard to find. you can use 2 ramps if the river is steep enough.
That is incredible. Are u catching shark as well? When you placed the initial fishing foundations, why not leave it and build around? Since you on a river maybe you can expand into farm base?
No sharks in the rivers. im working on the ocean now. And you can leave the foundation no problem. probably

Steeper river is better. This build does not work on the ocean due to needing a slope for the water and ocean water has no slope.@@svent7511

i have a question about bait. you said "use the correct bait raw fish" in the video. does that mean that raw pork and raw bear meat is bad? i thought all level 5 fishing baits were the same. or do you mean don't use any fishing bait below level 5?
Yeah he means his scrap per hour was from level higher tier bait. Nothing wrong user lower tier bait just lower scrap per hour

Couldnt you tc connect the slopes to 2 external tc's and you high externals to protect you. No roof, but if not used as the main base i think it could work

not worth it because you can't get yellow perch, nor catfish on ocean. To get sharks and trouts etc you have to be 2 storys high so that build would be a extra pain to set up and very high cost
Im working on setting it up in the ocean but its extremely hard. Id keep it in the river because the ocean doesnt off the same fish as rivers

Yeah youll have to keep rotating the foundation until you get it steep enough

I set a timer for 10 min and got 480 scrap so I multiplied by 6 for 2880.

The bobber always glitches through the roof for me. Is this something you've run into?
Yes. that means theres not enough water below it. If theres too much space between the roof and water, it sometimes goes through the roof. try to aim lower.
does this not work anymore? I had it working on a build server before the latest update no problem.. but now i cant seem to cast in between the roofs, only just after and the line always snaps :( very frustrating, ive spent hours in a proper server trying to get it to work..

The river has a slope to it so we can match it here. The ocean is flat so other methods have to be used.
@@adamjackson7585 I understand that but the roofs if placed in the correct depth of water can prevent the fish from pulling in any direction. Only thing about the ocean is the bobber can bug out if you cast when the wave drops.
I experimented with using a single door frame and an open door that works well but the bobber will error out sometimes.
Since pulling on either side tires the fish with less strain it helps a ton. Using the door frame I would often catch a shark or salmon in about 10 seconds or less.
Im trying the ocean. I got 80% of the puzzle solved. Cant get the last 20% im trying everything
@@BooBooMushu Just tested the river thing myself and it looks like the biggest factor is getting the two foundations as close together as possible.

@@BooBooMushu I can't make it roll, sometimes for the 6th-7th time it rolls once. And if you make the angle a little more, then the ball either rolls under the roof, or disappears, or burns red... I spent hours on it, but I couldn't make it roll.
I think its a cool video, but i wish they patch this out. Cuz i really like the difficulty of fishing. And it won’t take long for this to go viral and everyone will have time to do this to keep up with the META.

Tried it out and it's not rolling. But it's super easy when it catches bait. Not rolling at it is shown probably fixed?
No it's not fixed. it takes a lot of practice. you'll nee to increase your slope of the ramp. if your river is pretty flat it will be even harder

lol i came up with a simular system a while ago it didnt had the roll effect tho, just a straight reel in with roof pices V shaped just below the surface, i build it in the ocean for sharks however

Btw, does the fish bait instantly?
The fish still has the same time required to pull up, but once it’s activated it immediately is fished out. This basically reduces any need to reel in.

So youll have to move the foundation farther out. if the foundations are too close, you cant place. it will be red. play with the distance and you'll get it.

No you cant go afk. the bobber will roll down the ramp leaving it at your feet. you can catch instantly if the river is steep enough. If not youll have about a half second to catch.
