"It's the science that's important, not the scientist!"
Somebody should tell Neil De Grasse-Tyson this...
    Thanks for sharing this classic!

In 1951 apartment rentals were probably about $50-75 a month, so that $12.95 Kreisler watch band would have been expensive at that time 😗

Eva Gabor was married five times and died on July 4, 1995 (age 76).
She had no children, but she was Lisa Douglas, an inspiration to us all!

A dark tale with a point!
Ava's acting was really good, she was very passionate..heart breaking. The off screen approach bugs me, cause I just automatically imagine what happened but I'd prefer a shaky, awkward insert...than imagination. Yeah, powerful TV, clever and ambitious...warts and all!

In the late-1940s and early-1950s, most TV drama programs were broadcast live in New York City. Actors and actresses only had a few days to memorize their lines, and to make adjustments on the fly when network "standards and practices" required a last-minute script change. It was not unusual for even the best actors and actresses to flub their lines on television. For film actors/actresses, it was a problem, because they could not stop the action, and do a retake to get the lines right. Broadway stage actors/actresses had a somewhat easier time, as they were trained to make adjustments to their lines if they forgot them, to say whatever they wanted as long as it worked within the main storyline of the play. These TV programs were known as, and are still called today as, "teleplays".
