He's constantly telling one to find their own truth, not take anyone's word for it, and strive for being enlightened in their own way. So then how can he be the sole reason for anyone's awakening when the core of his learning is - figure it out yourself and find your own truth. So lets the not miss the core essence Naval's talk!

However as per me, when you are a 'fan' you have to suspend your rational mind towards that person but when you're finding your truth, you have to be very unbiased. So there's a certain paradox there which one knows when they undertake this journey and question everything.

Be cautious, everyone. The state Naval describes, where there is a mini-elimination of 'me-ness,' can be tricky to achieve. For most people who try to reach it directly, it can lead to the suppression of emotional energies. You might believe in your mind that there is 'no-me,' but when suffering arises, there's an automatic identification with the body and mind, as that is our habit. This can lead to the accumulation of trauma. A better approach is what Naval talks about later: being mindful of the present moment and practicing being aware here and now. This will eventually lead to what he is talking about but in a more organic way. Best of luck!

@@thepathakarpit Desires are not inherently bad. Eating food is also a desire. They are needed for life to move forward. The trick is not to focus on the "desire" or the outcome of the desire but on the action, which is in the here and now. If the focus is strong, there comes a moment when the actor and action become one, that's where magic happens.

Ranveer, I loved this podcast. I especially appreciated it more being a 46 yr old who grew up in Delhi and now have been in USA for past 20 years, since I could appreciate cultural nuances in the questions and answers My suggestions come from a place of love When you interview someone authentic as Naval, who is trying to respond to every question in an honest authentic way, it’s a great opportunity for you to level up. Some of my observations. You tend to fanboy a lot, and praise the guest. It adds no value to the conversation, and it will make some guests uncomfortable, esp the authentic ones. Instead try and pose questions from a curiosity standpoint. You also tend to throw in cliches and put forth your opinions in spots where it sounds made up and forced, almost like you want to contribute but don’t know how. Imho,Unless you really truly believe in something, there is no need to present your opinion to fill in space. You can use space as an opportunity to ask genuine questions to learn more about your guest. Your authenticity shined through when you mentioned the few places in India, that you wanted to take him to. That part felt very genuine to me. More of that level of authenticity. Keep learning and growing brother!

An honest feedback, with due respect. It felt like Ranveer continously wanted Naval to say a few things (pride about his ethnicity for example) and went to to an extent that Naval seemed a but annoyed.. Some interventions by Ranveer were irrelevant. If I'd be next to him, I'd also fanboy for sure, but doing it to the level you did just idolizes the individuals and leaves no scope for honest conversations. We Indians are hard wired on treating people as celebrities and a hint of jingoism as a Masala.. this conversation could've been so much more, so many doors could've opened.. a bit dissapointing. I dont mean any malice and rarely ever comment on social media. I mean this with good intent.
It also felt that Ranveer's obsession with his personal life and asking it in snarky way was a bit annoying and reminded me of the entertainment media here in Mumbai..

And same I looked here from Naval, he tried to give the contribution to the scientific frameworks for the kind of understanding at very underlying level first principles he possesses.

This question is to Ranveer and Naval sir both! From what I perceive in parts Naval sir’s conversation it is a lot about - not being bound to A particular philosophy or religion and being free! Not tied down in a box or identifying ourself too much with anything and finding our own meaning! Which absolutely sounds brilliant! Especially when I watch this at 2am! I love the thought all the more! But when I step out tomorrow morning without identifying myself with anything or any community and I come against a bunch of 5 people who identify VERY strongly with something and in a rather manic manner ! Enough to destroy me! And no one comes to rescue me as I have never identified myself with anything or any community, how will my freedom survive? Isn’t it always about survival of the fittest and while some are brainwashed in their early days to destroy others, how strong will be freedom stand in the test against the unity of people who are obsessed with a particular religion and have only learnt that since childhood?

For E.g. : "Only I Can" represent the self obsession , means in the entire universe only I can do that particular thing or achieve that status. Being Selfish means Before thinking or helping others , help yourself first. I am just 15 min into the podcast and this guy is already imparting so much wisdom my way. He is completely changing my way of thinking about the life. Phenomenal person🔥🔥
The way he negates everything that Ranveer says is so appealing. I felt Ranveer was trying hard to force the Sanatan agenda and the hinduism jargons to Naval but kudos to him, he completely negates them and talks about the real TRUTH, which is beyond any religion, philosophy or agenda. My respect for Naval increased a lot today and how direct and truthful he is, never trying to impress or be in good books of anyone.
Ranveer didn't podcast him well. Matter of fact is podcasting him isn't like podcasting any other guest. What Ranveer asked him was all surface level understanding for Naval, what we need is extremely thought-provoking question to see him making new answers which he hasn't answered before.
Exactly, if he spent so much time to reach him, he should have had a question set ready or just asked people online and that would have been enough. Naval is growing old and I don't know how much time we have left with him..

This is my first time i get to know who Mr.naval ravikant is , I dont know if i should be ashamed of it but truly he is a very simple man with such clarity and confidence on his thoughts and words through his life experience. My favourite takeaway is ‘ Get to know by yourself about everything’ and many things that resonated well to me about the modernity. Ranveer one of your weakness while having a guest is, you don't know when they are giving you signals that they are not interested in your question framing. Naval in this podcast have thrown many of your questions but you didn't even notice. A big blunder you did in the podcast is your whole of it was revolving around the sprituality. you could have done it half capitalistic form and other. anyways it was good.
*Absolutely wasted Naval's time by asking him bs questions and hyper focusing on his "indian origin".* When you bring guests like him on the show(who are authentic and will answer absolutely any questions you have to ask), it's the podcaster's job to ask heavy, difficult and uncomfortable questions to the guest and push his boundary a little to get honest advice out of them. And not embarrass them by fanboying too much and pushing him to talk about his indian side and religion. What a wasted opportunity. The guy literally said it was embarrassing for ranveer to bow to him. When you are interviewing a guest like him, you need to be confident and not ask basic af questions. Why would you ask him the same questions which have been asked to him a gazillion times?!!!
This is one of the most painful podcasts I have ever watched. I enjoyed Naval’s discourse although I don’t watch ranveer’s podcasts anymore but I have never cringed so hard. It is like watching a 1-dimensional being talking to a 4-dimensional being. How can somebody waste such an opportunity? The podcaster is so egotistical and focused on his own nonsense, and he likes to think he’ll become Indian Rogan (without the Josh). He should go back to yetis, black magic and ghosts.

This is the best spirtual podcast that you have done so far! All hats off to Naval for him to demonstrate principles of - Advaitha Vedanata, Awareness (and or consciousness), Non Dual Tantra. You can see how he embodies all these in his every living second. For him not to label or drop jargons when explaining deep concepts in simple string of words is exceptional! The kinda of clarity and clairvoyance displayed in speech shows how he is blessed by all 8 goddesses of speech - Vaak Devis (Vasini, Kameshvari, Aruna, Vimala, Jayani, Modini, Sarveshvari, and Kaulini). He didn't sensationalize anything which shows how he is not attached to anything and yet is operating in a state close to that of a 'Jivan Muktha'. If this man has not attained self realization then here is the proof and example that HE IS A PRIME CANDIDATE who will soon hit his goal of self realization. You can see how he does not regret, recollect or regress of the past nor is anxious about the future but is soaking in the bliss-awareness that is present this very second and every second. The best secret that Naval dropped which was not explored further is of that of "Direct Experience" and reference to Rupert Spira which means his source of knowledge and current learning is from those of the likes of Christopher Wallis, Bernado Kastrapo, Adya Shanti etc.. who talk about "Direct Experience" to self realization and enlightenment without explicit reference to any terms of any "-ism"s or Santana Dharma (even they acknowledge that is where they learnt it from). This episode is proof that we're letting the wrong person represent India. Ranveer, your lack of research and model of basic questioning cannot and should not be excused as "Indian public is into emotions." After Naval saying multiple times about his lack of interest in the person. You continue asking what if questions and things about him personally instead of his experiences and the fate of the future. You clearly were following a script in the podcast. The inability to be able to continue your questioning based on his answers and getting deep into a topic is shameful, considering you have years of experience in such conversations. You certainly were the first to start the podcast revolution in India but it's high time you evolve. Stop chasing views and get into qualtative podcasts. Your focus still is on making celebrity content which gets you mass views. You have the opportunity to improve your podcast and take the knowledge of all your listeners one level higher. You seem not at all interested in that. Podcasters like Prakhar would've been a much better host for someone with the stature of Naval.

I've read books he suggested, watched all his podcasts, watched his old RUclips clips, read the book "The almanack of Naval Ravikant". This man is full of knowledge. I adore his way of thinking. He talks about Happiness, Wealth and Peace. All of which we all aspire to achieve in life. I really wanted to know his views about Hinduism. So there's a certain paradox there which one knows when they undertake this journey and question everything.

Be cautious, everyone. The state Naval describes, where there is a mini-elimination of 'me-ness,' can be tricky to achieve. For most people who try to reach it directly, it can lead to the suppression of emotional energies. You might believe in your mind that there is 'no-me,' but when suffering arises, there's an automatic identification with the body and mind, as that is our habit. This can lead to the accumulation of trauma. A better approach is what Naval talks about later: being mindful of the present moment and practicing being aware here and now. This will eventually lead to what he is talking about but in a more organic way. Best of luck!

My suggestions come from a place of love
When you interview someone authentic as Naval, who is trying to respond to every question in an honest authentic way, it’s a great opportunity for you to level up.
Some of my observations. You tend to fanboy a lot, and praise the guest. It adds no value to the conversation, and it will make some guests uncomfortable, esp the authentic ones. Instead try and pose questions from a curiosity standpoint.
You also tend to throw in cliches and put forth your opinions in spots where it sounds made up and forced, almost like you want to contribute but don’t know how. Imho,Unless you really truly believe in something, there is no need to present your opinion to fill in space. You can use space as an opportunity to ask genuine questions to learn more about your guest.
Your authenticity shined through when you mentioned the few places in India, that you wanted to take him to. That part felt very genuine to me. More of that level of authenticity.

An honest feedback, with due respect. It felt like Ranveer continously wanted Naval to say a few things (pride about his ethnicity for example) and went to to an extent that Naval seemed a but annoyed.. Some interventions by Ranveer were irrelevant. If I'd be next to him, I'd also fanboy for sure, but doing it to the level you did just idolizes the individuals and leaves no scope for honest conversations. We Indians are hard wired on treating people as celebrities and a hint of jingoism as a Masala.. this conversation could've been so much more, so many doors could've opened.. a bit dissapointing. I dont mean any malice and rarely ever comment on social media. I mean this with good intent.
It also felt that Ranveer's obsession with his personal life and asking it in snarky way was a bit annoying and reminded me of the entertainment media here in Mumbai..

This question is to Ranveer and Naval sir both! From what I perceive in parts Naval sir’s conversation it is a lot about - not being bound to A particular philosophy or religion and being free! Not tied down in a box or identifying ourself too much with anything and finding our own meaning! Which absolutely sounds brilliant! Especially when I watch this at 2am! I love the thought all the more!
But when I step out tomorrow morning without identifying myself with anything or any community and I come against a bunch of 5 people who identify VERY strongly with something and in a rather manic manner ! Enough to destroy me! And no one comes to rescue me as I have never identified myself with anything or any community, how will my freedom survive? Isn’t it always about survival of the fittest and while some are brainwashed in their early days to destroy others, how strong will be freedom stand in the test against the unity of people who are obsessed with a particular religion and have only learnt that since childhood?

The way he negates everything that Ranveer says is so appealing. I felt Ranveer was trying hard to force the Sanatan agenda and the hinduism jargons to Naval but kudos to him, he completely negates them and talks about the real TRUTH, which is beyond any religion, philosophy or agenda.

Ranveer didn't podcast him well. Matter of fact is podcasting him isn't like podcasting any other guest. What Ranveer asked him was all surface level understanding for Naval, what we need is extremely thought-provoking question to see him making new answers which he hasn't answered before.

False, naval is only special because of his spirituality and philosophy, for capitalism there are countless interesting guests, for example balaji.
*Absolutely wasted Naval's time by asking him bs questions and hyper focusing on his "indian origin".* When you bring guests like him on the show(who are authentic and will answer absolutely any questions you have to ask), it's the podcaster's job to ask heavy, difficult and uncomfortable questions to the guest and push his boundary a little to get honest advice out of them. And not embarrass them by fanboying too much and pushing him to talk about his indian side and religion. What a wasted opportunity. The guy literally said it was embarrassing for ranveer to bow to him. When you are interviewing a guest like him, you need to be confident and not ask basic af questions. Why would you ask him the same questions which have been asked to him a gazillion times?!!!
This is one of the most painful podcasts I have ever watched. I enjoyed Naval’s discourse although I don’t watch ranveer’s podcasts anymore but I have never cringed so hard. This is the best spirtual podcast that you have done so far! All hats off to Naval for him to demonstrate principles of - Advaitha Vedanata, Awareness (and or consciousness), Non Dual Tantra. You can see how he embodies all these in his every living second. For him not to label or drop jargons when explaining deep concepts in simple string of words is exceptional!
The kinda of clarity and clairvoyance displayed in speech shows how he is blessed by all 8 goddesses of speech - Vaak Devis (Vasini, Kameshvari, Aruna, Vimala, Jayani, Modini, Sarveshvari, and Kaulini). He didn't sensationalize anything which shows how he is not attached to anything and yet is operating in a state close to that of a 'Jivan Muktha'. If this man has not attained self realization then here is the proof and example that HE IS A PRIME CANDIDATE who will soon hit his goal of self realization. You can see how he does not regret, recollect or regress of the past nor is anxious about the future but is soaking in the bliss-awareness that is present this very second and every second.
The best secret that Naval dropped which was not explored further is of that of "Direct Experience" and reference to Rupert Spira which means his source of knowledge and current learning is from those of the likes of Christopher Wallis, Bernado Kastrapo, Adya Shanti etc.. who talk about "Direct Experience" to self realization and enlightenment without explicit reference to any terms of any "-ism"s or Santana Dharma (even they acknowledge that is where they learnt it from).

Ranveer, your lack of research and model of basic questioning cannot and should not be excused as "Indian public is into emotions."
After Naval saying multiple times about his lack of interest in the person. You continue asking what if questions and things about him personally instead of his experiences and the fate of the future.
You clearly were following a script in the podcast. The inability to be able to continue your questioning based on his answers and getting deep into a topic is shameful, considering you have years of experience in such conversations.
You certainly were the first to start the podcast revolution in India but it's high time you evolve. Stop chasing views and get into qualtative podcasts.

You spoke my mind. This was fucking irritating to watch. The question were too shallow. Ranveer wasn’t present there i felt like he just kind of lost. I've read books he suggested, watched all his podcasts, watched his old RUclips clips, read the book "The almanack of Naval Ravikant".
This man is full of knowledge. I adore his way of thinking. He talks about Happiness, Wealth and Peace. All of which we all aspire to achieve in life.
I really wanted to know his views about Hinduism. Because of Ranveer, today I got to know his some of the views about Sanatan dharma.

Clearly it wasn't easy on you. Naval brushed aside any remarks that you made on a personal front, he dismissed any respect you gave him and returned the compliments almost saying 'No, thanks'.
Need to understand that although he is of Indian Origin he is now an American. He is an American in the way he makes friends relationships and connections. He would not be comfortable with somebody calling him 'Big brother'.
But you were very genuine, and very open about how you felt about him. Kudos.
