    So much for Scotlands so called housing crisis , good solid building with big windows , high ceiling , could of easily been refurbished and preserved

    Sad to see them go, however I worked on these flats 20 years ago and many weren’t in great shape then, and to make them viable for modern living you would have had to do away with the middle flat and make them 2 to a landing. If they were in the West End then it would have been done, however the economics of them being where they are means that it’s cheaper to pull them down and start again, and that is that.
    Don’t get me wrong, they were much better than the Clune park flats and Kilmory Terrace, but it’s only the greed of slumlords that keeps them standing.
