How to change a Samsung Galaxy S7 Back Glass?

The fact that you will not be using the glad paper sealed to the cracked glass make this repair easy. You need to heat up the back glass so that you will be able to remove the glass completely. Then place the camera and sensor bezel inside the new back glass then apply some adhesives if possible. Lastly put the new glass

+Miez LP I think so if you apply enough double sided tape. But some people commented that only factory sealed make it water resistant

You forgot one huge step. adding adhesive between the camera bezel and the new back glass. Buhbye water resistance.

godFATHERfrazer you might be right or not. I knew people had done this before on RUclips, but I decided to do it without trying to look it up on RUclips. I decided to do it fresh and figure out how to do it
TECH87 I recommend titling the video as such so you don't get so much critism. Maybe title the video "Replacing S7 Edge Back Panel my first time with no guidance whatsoever" I was reading through the comments and that would have saved the unclear responses.

Forgot to apply the glue strip around the camera lens (after bending it as it was removed), that won't be waterproof anymore. And how about a final wrap with gaffer tape around the phone. There are better you tube videos without the brute force...

I don't think they are going to do anything profoundly different from what I did. The waterproofing is a matter of amount of doubled sided tape you place on the phone.
Even the original back glass was not glued with UV light only double sided tape. Look my video again you will see

Ashish Byanjankar well possibly yes, The glass of the back doesn't make your galaxy s7 edge waterproof, the glue under the back makes it waterproof so you're probably good

CMF haha the glass is strong enough to not be scratched by the table. That a fact. Just make sure the table is clean before doing it

Btw. Dont forget to wipe the inside of the camera basil as well as the camera lens itself before you put the back glass back on. You may have absent-mindedly smudge the rear glass or the rear camera or you may have some lent or debris in or on it. This is something small and easy to overlook until you go to take a picture and see Haze in the picture. Also if you're worried about losing the water resistance then you can take some aquapel or some silicone adhesive and go over the perimeter of the inside of the new rear glass and that should keep the water out.

yep I added extra double sided tape around the camera to strengthen the waterproofing (around camera) also there were enough tape around to keep the waterproofing
It's WATER RESISTANT* not waterproof lol.
If you walk into a carrier to buy one of the best waterproof smartphones of 2017 most will list specs as water-resistant, which is fine as long as there is a clear indication of how much exposure it can handle. Everything on this list meets specifications that allow the phone to survive underwater for at least 30 minutes.
David Braucht, the phone I believe is waterproof not water resistance .. water resistance means even if the phone is open down water cant spoil it. and waterproof means if what is protecting the phone from water entering the source is spoiled and can't be fix that means the waterproof will not work again accept returned to the factory.

Samsung galaxy s7 edage is not a water resistance but waterproof. because if it is water resistance it will still work while the back glass have been changed and water gets inside. but waterproof means if what is protecting the phone from water entering inside is destroyed and water gets inside the phone it will course damage to the phone

If it is done properly It should still be waterproof. The main problem might be the camera bezel. You should look carefully around the camera piece and put more adhesive if needed.

You might wanna look on Amazon or eBay.
Apparently, you can only get them from off of a used or broken s7. Apparently, every single listing and auction on eBay and Amazon for the rear glass, as well as the rear camera bezel is fslse advertising. They are all apparently made of thin plastic. The only way to get oem glass is to remove it from another Samsung galaxy, because you cant buy the glass from Samsung.
Look for an S7 with broken front glass or not working and take the glass from that. Its the only way.
