How to setup Chromecast:
1. First of all, you should plug in your Chromecast device into an HDMI port on your TV and connect the USB power cable to a power outlet.
2. Make sure your TV is set to the correct input source for the Chromecast.
3. Go to the App Store and download the Google Home app on your iPhone.
4. Open the app and tap "Get started".
5. Choose your google account and click OK.
6. Then create a new home for your device. Give it a nickname and provide an address.
7. Click "Next"
8. Also check if you have given Google Home access to your location data.
9. And now the app is looking for new devices.
10. Please confirm what kind of device you will be using.
11. Make sure your Chromecast is plugged in. Click Next
12. See your Chromecast? Tap "Next"
13. Then check if the code on the iPhone matches with the TV, if everything is OK, click Yes.

No, it’s not easy. Chromecast is not easy. I’d rather just use a fire stick. Chromecast sucks.
My phone doesn’t recognise anything from tv
I did all this but when I go to connect Netflix to tv the chrome cast name doesn’t pop up, we’ve tried to reset chrome cast by unplugging and plugging it back in. We deleted the home and re did the steps. I don’t know what we’re doing wrong. I will say that we are connecting the chrome cast to a new wifi since we moved, and a new google account. Do I need to use the same google account like the once I used to set it up the first time?

Much easier way to connect ur I phone to TV go to settings click of screen mirroring select the t.v device click on that device ur phone is connected and in middle of it's asking u a code enter it
