Thanks 🙏🏾
Dope video bro!!!
Appreciate it!
Hey Perrin, do you enjoy going to a small school like Butler? Would you have preferred a school with a larger population? (talking to small D1 schools but not sure)
I like the small school atmosphere, especially when it comes to classes as all of my classes are pretty small. Sometimes I wonder what going to a bigger school might be like, but I am happy with my choice.
🙌🎞:O)
Hey!! I have question how good do you have to be to make it D1?
I would say you need to be a standout in high school soccer or a good player on a club team in ECNL or MLS next. And make sure you contact coaches to let them know you are interested and try to play well in front of coaches. Exposure is huge!
@@perrinbarnes150 is it possible to get offers if you play ccl 1? or play juco?
I am not familiar with ccl 1, but I do know there are some successful d1 players that played juco. In fact one of our best players last season played juco before coming to Butler.
Bro which position do you play and what's your favourite boots?
I play either center back our outside back and mercurial vapors are my boots of choice.
@@perrinbarnes150 niccee. I play left wing but yet to join college soccer. Adidas speedflow x.1 are my boots of choice
I heard those are nice…I used to wear the adidas adi zeros back in middle school, but since then I just stuck to Nike especially now we have to wear Nike at Butler.
Tips for a d1 freshmen who isn’t getting any playing time?
My freshmen year I was lucky enough to play quite a bit, so I don’t have too much experience in your situation.
But I would say take advantage of opportunities to do extra work. For example if there are extra optional lifts or training sessions, go to those, or even go do extra work by yourself or with a group of teammates. Show your coach that you are doing everything you can to try and get better. You can even ask your coach what he thinks you can work on and work on that.
Also always give 100%. In every situation giving 100% effort elevates a players game. Hope this helps.
@@perrinbarnes150 I am always the first to arrive to training and the last to leave as I stay after and work on extra aspects of my game. I have been doing the extras for years as I love and am obsessed with training and improvement. I go to extra lifts and the extra training session by myself and w my group of teammates.
@@perrinbarnes150 I also asked my coach and he told me to keep working hard on my physical and technical game and that “my time will come”
It sound like your coach might be wanting to redshirt you, maybe he feels you could benefit from a year of development first before you play.
