I remember constantly rematching him with my friend at school.
One day we got incredibly close...then he used Mega Flare.

He has WHAT
Yes, he has 3 copied spells that the characters can use. He can use Meteor, one of Terra's LVL 4 Magic Commands, Raging Storm, a LVL 6 Magic Command for Aqua and Megaflare. He also has a unique Link move not entirely specified in the Command Guide, but told of in the FAQs or BBS Guide, and that's Doom Link.
Hah, I fought him for weeks (was still quite young) and when I thought I finally managed to adapt to his various attacks he brought in Mega Flare. I stopped trying for a few days.

Notice that his blades are positioned at the 12 o'clock and 3 o'clock positions (which goes well with the whole "clock" theme to him). Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance ended up being released in March 2012. Coincidence? ...Yeah, probably.

On Critical, NO MATTER what your level is, even on level 99, this guy can still take you down with almost every single hit unless you have Once More and Second Chance.
Hes utterly broken.
He's like that even on Normal. He's programmed to be utter bullshit.
To be fair, that goes to every kh super boss, once more and second chance are pretty much required abillities for them since they all do so much damage.
No matter the difficulty he still take you down to 1 HP lol

i love how every kingdom hearts game has a secret boss that is basically a prequel to the next game's main boss.
So clearly that means for kh4 we are fighting a bigger fire cum guardian since that is kh3 secret boss

I like how this battle actually fits into the plot. Young Xehanort comes back to that time to get vanitas/terranort (probably vanitas) but encounters at least 1 of the trio. He then tries to force his way past them.

Even after beating him with all 3 characters I still can't listen to this song. It will trigger some ptsd. As soon as I hear it I start rolling all over(dodge roll) and then start blocking imaginary attacks (renewal block). And if someone bumps into be when I block I start flailing my arms around( counter) followed by me ramming into people (thunder surge). All the while yelling obscenities. This would all conclude with me crying in the corner.
When I was a kid i never got that frustrated with him but it def took a lot less tries as a kid than it does now idk why that is.

Sephiroth in KH2 was easy even on critical mode once i knew how he worked. Less tries were needed for me to kill him than the final form of Xemnas, but Xemnas did take 12 tries on critical...

Dante Kenway sephiroth is considered to be the bronze rank hardest boss. Beat him and you still have the mysterious figure in kh1 remix to beat and he dosent even flinch when your attacks hit him, then the lingeing sentiment in kh2 remix and he's even worse with more health, faster movement and attacks, reaction command BS and his overal poweris just insane, and you dont have an ice titan to grind for xp in kh2

This fight had traumatized me.
My very first kh game, and it took me THREE WHOLE MONTHS to beat this asshole.
And worst of all, I was too stubborn to use anyone other than Terra.
I had to give up my emotions and burn my pride and honor in a dumpster fire to cheese this out as Terra. And at the end when I finally won, I felt... nothing. I felt empty, an empty shell of what I once was. I was unable to display or feel any emotion for two days after I finally won.
I may have won the battle, but in the end, in reality, I knew I had lost this war. That hellish experience will forever haunt me as long as I look at bbs or hear this. Pre-X(s)enilehort had won.

After Millions and millions of Losses, I finally beat this S.O.B. with Ventus. After the victory, I stood out there gazing into the dark abyss sky, depressed, yet happy at the same time.
When I played Dream Drop Distance and got to the Young Xehanort boss fight, I damn near had a heart attack when I saw the Mysterious Figure.
Totally gonna have to mod my switch to get this song in Smash now 🔥

I hope they don't edit the song, I was dissapointed that they changed some songs for KH when they had to 'remastered' them. Some sounded great but ruined the nostalgia feel for me. I hope they do not do the same for KH 2 or BBS in 2.5

I have a possible explanation for the Keyblade thing. When we fight him in 3D, Nomura has said he was being possessed by the older Xehanort. Since Youngnort wasn't a keyblade wielder in the time he came from, it's likely that it was Spocknort who summoned it and not him. As for why he's in the BBS timeline, maybe he's training against keyblade wielders in history in order to be able to defeat Riku and Sora. That might explain the rest too.

Young xehanort. Ansem the wise was the researcher that xehanorts heartless stole the name from. and the real ansem was teleported to the dark realm because his experiment to digitize kingdom hearts literally exploded and failed.

Worst boss fight with the best theme in the entire series.
I beat him with Terra. The key is to use thunder surge as both a dodge and attack at the same time, as it itself has a frame of invincibility like dodges.
