Yes, there is a storyline, the "dressed up" ATEEZ are the "fake" ATEEZ. You can see them in Say my name, Hala, hala, Ilussion..
Some info: ATEEZ are one year and a half old group and already have 7 albums and 13 MVs! Very hard working, humble crackheads, so lovable! Their albums are masterpieces! From the storyline, concept, choreo, MVs, intro, outros, amazing, they literally don't have a bad song! They are really good at hinting and connecting their albums! And their stages are always fire! They had a sold out world tour when they were just 2 months old - considering they are from small company! They blow up with their pre-debut performance videos as KQ FELLAZ - check them out! Also they are known for their stage presence - Watch their KCON stages, Very good cover, Sicko mode cover, Special stage on Expedition tour...

You HAVE TO listen to their albums! Every song and album is connected
musically, lyrically and visually to one another and to the storyline! Also
they have amazing, very cinematic Intros and Outros in which they like to hint
their next comebacks! Masterpieces!

explanation videos! Hala, Hala ATEEZ are the evil "fake" ATEEZ!
Pirates toast together when they find the Treasure! At the end they gather
together and toast! The answer is that they've embraced their other selves and
faced all the things that made them afraid. Through this and with Atiny,
they're no longer scared and can raise a glass to a bright, burning future.
Also buterflies represent rebirth. But like we see "the white man with the
mask" is new and maybe he did something at the end, this is a hint for
their next comeback and concept, they like to hit us that way!

Ateez is pronounced "A tease". The 'a' as in 'a' in air so 'a tease' that's not what it means tho.

From (pre debut) they had 9 members back then but 1 left before their debut.
There are 2 rappers in the group and 6 vocalists. They are rookies and debuted in 2018 which is hard to believe since they perform like they've been in the business since birth. Jongho is their main vocalist and the youngest (can you believe that?) Atiny ( ateez+destiny) is their fandom name.
Fun Fact: 2 of the members of Ateez were BigHit trainees but left to debut in Ateez. Some of the members were in a survival reality show kinda deal called mixnine but got eliminated (people slept on their talent and now look at them)
Edit: There's alot of debate about the name so it is pronounced "aye-teez" in English but sometimes might sound like "a tease" due to people's accents but "aye-teez" is the correct pronunciation.
U forgot wonderland after wave. Also there's utopia, their japanese comeback and their mv's of promise and aurora (not part of the storyline)

When he debuted he wasn't really confident with his voice and wanted small parts in songs. Now he said he wants to try to sing more because he is more confident now.
The only thing I'm mad about is that he doesn't have much screentime.

San is the fake maknae (youngest). Everyone thinks he's the youngest when they first learn about ATEEZ but he really isn't 😂 Another thing, most of the members are the same age. Hongjoong (leader/rapper) and Seonghwa (oldest/vocalist) are the same age, and they're the oldest (98' liners). Then the others are all the same age (99' liners). And then we have Jongho (the youngest) who is a 00' baby 💜💜💜

I never gave Ateez a chance listening to the big names as I recently started in K-PoP. However, after discovering them, they have become my absolute favorite artists in general. These boys are special, truly i cannot think of another word. They are going to be big one day and its crazy to think they are rookies, just wow.

Ateez is like my ultimate boy group next to BTS...They're so good. There's no a bad song in their whole discography and they just debuted a year ago yet still they're performances and everything are so good. I love them so much. They're a such a stable group and yet they're still underrated. I can assure they will be more big than they are now.
Mingi is actually such a soft baby, UwU. Like, he might be one of the tallest and has the deepest voice, but he is sooooo adorable like please, when you see him behind the scenes you just wanna hug him.

Fun Fact: Wooyoung and Yeosang used to be BigHit trainees with BTS. But they left to join KQ Entertainment and debut as ATEEZ. However, they're still very close with BTS, especially with Jimin and J-Hope.
They are close with TXT not BTS since they trained with them and almost end up in TXT :)

I don't know if you'll see this comment Sammy but I just wanted to say that I can definitely imagine you getting into Ateez and really enjoying it!
