Seeing this a year late, only because I saw the other one. This is very good advice James. There's no need to wear a watch in the shower really, water laden air, which is high humidity, and steam is the highest humidity of all can cause problems. The very slightest flaw, not enough to allow liquid water molecules to enter can allow the micro droplets of steam to get in there. Probably won't happen but why take the chance?
Hi, James. Very valid point I think. So I have been aware of this issue for quite some time now. I do wear my watches into the shower, but only when they have gotten excessively sweaty. I will only wear them in at the very beginning (first 2-3 minutes or so) using the showerhead to rinse them off while I work the bracelet and bezel around to help facilitate this process. Second I only have the water temp set to just above luke-warm so as not to create excessive heat and stream. After a few minutes, I will them set the watch outside on a dry towel and finish my shower. After getting out I them use air to blow out any excess water from areas where it can settle so as not to allow hard water deposit to form, and then place it back on my wrist and wear it to help facilitate the drying process until I'm sure it is. cheers
That’s great. Good to keep them clean but also safe from hot water. Thanks for WATCHing. You are one of only a couple that have watched this particular episode. 😄👍
@@WATCHingJames If I had to guess why, I would say that it probably has to do with when it was made, and how annoying it is to go back into someones "back-catalogue" of older content. It's actually a very valid topic of important information, and I think you presented it, as you always do, in a very sensible and practical manor. Keep up the good work brother
Hey there!Just wondering, if someone has at least five watches, do you think its best to take out the battery or leave it on (because you normally wear on watch at a time and leaving the battery on without actually wearing it is kinda like a waste of batter)and do you think all watches should be kept in a special case?
Thanks for WATCHing James
Good info
I thought so

Exactly.
I don’t wear mine in the shower as I just don’t want to risk it.
Plus, there really is no need.
Valid points. Thanks!
Thanks for WATCHing
@@WATCHingJames I'm also watching your other videos and just subscribed. Thanks for doing these sensible and rational reviews!
Thank you. So nice to get positive feed back.

I would leave the batteries in.
The risk of damaging the watch for me would override the benefits.
It’s also nice to have them in a watch box.
