I live in Wisconsin which is full of small country cemeteries, which we love driving through. One can tell so much about an area based on old cemeteries and their headstones, such as was the area settled by Poles, Germans, Swedish, Norwegians, Belgians or Czechs? And there are even tribal cemeteries. And cemeteries are usually on the best pieces of high ground in any area. Quiet, park-like and well-maintained.
I miss waking up to the sound of farm machinery in the morning, and to the singing of blackbirds. There were five family dairy farms operating on the six mile drive into town when I grew up in NW WI. They're all gone now. We had farm fields across the road, so there was equipment running often, & the farmer kept his dry cows there. I like hearing the sound of the equipment running in your videos. It makes me all nostalgic.
My folks lost their dairy farm in WI around 84, I was very young and didn't understand what was going on.. just that we had to move. Years later we bought the place across the road, and the old farm is only just the house on two acres, the barn fell down, the pole building is someone's shed. My brother managed to buy up some of the farm land (he started his own farm when my dad's fell) and the rest is now part of the township with houses on it. Found out years later, the banker and the auctioneer were buddies and let the place fall to ruin without telling my now departed father that they could have applied for federal programs to save the farm. All just a memory now.
@@mnmomify That is so sad for that poor young girl and the whole family. I don't know them but I did see them on you tube occasionally and there was so much hope there. Sad.

This time there was no one in my sight. So quiet and peaceful. Quiet time, peace for the mind, some reminiscing. It can put a person in a state of mind you don’t normally get to.

The sun is no joke. My dad is in his 80's and he gets a couple of growths a year removed from his head from where he worked outside without a hat for just a few years in his 20's; the last couple of years in particular he's had a couple that were actually cancerous and they had to cut deeper to get it all out. Thankfully he's still cancer free as if you catch 'em early they can remove them before the start to spread - but it's always a bit of extra anxiety when one comes back positive. Keep covering up!
I am glad you took the time to go golfing with your Grandma Judy and Grandpa John. I am sure there were more memories made there then if you'd worked that day.
Cooper asked about a year ago that we pray for Larson Farms Chet. I started praying then. Today I learned that his beloved wife Nicole died on the 27 of May. She was air lifted to a hospital about three days ago. She developed a lung infection due to her low immunity from the treatments. So sad to hear. Today the news came, it hit me hard. Nicole had so much spunk I believed that she could make it. I hope that my prayers helped a little bit.
