For Fokkers sake...nice vid Nigel...will that engine work for the Early or is it aligned w/Mid?
As far as I know all Mk I‘s had the same engine.

I wondered when someone would produce an engine for those with an interest. It is good to see that they appears to have done it justice.
And, yes- Kotare do have the best Spitfire model on the market!

I wonder how to remove the supports on tiny parts as the 0.4 line? A hot knife/blade? This set is a miracle to look at, just superb! Thanks for showing, Nigel!
Nippers i think.. the heat near that tiny part may damage it.

A beautiful rendition of the mighty Merlin. Will the cowling panels fit over it or is it underscale?

Here is some feedback:
1. the engine/framing is the same scale as the cowlings. Actually I am not quite sure if it is actually underscale. I think I hadn’t had any issues regarding the scale during the design process. I worked on it with mostly original drawings. Maybe that underscale theory is actually about the difference in length between a single stage and two-stage Merlin engine?
2. the exhaust parts (styrene and resin) will also fit into the framing
3. actually it won’t fit the Lancaster as the Lancaster had a two-stage supercharger Merlin and the Spitfire Mk I single stage.
My set is the only 1/32 single stage Merlin available as far as I know.

I don't think they will John, certainly not as moulded? They will need some serious thinning down.
Just a comment on your comment about losing subs I’m also losing watch hours, I’ve lost 8 hours of watch time in the last day
I've had that before.. seems impossible!!
