In my mind, every Kanto Gym Leader is amazing! When playing Pokémon Blue, I beat all these guys in one try (except for Lt. Surge, because I first forgot to heal my Pokémon).
i like how koga realizes midway through the battle that he should probably stop marowak from being able to hit his pokemon so he spams smokescreen and then he self destructs
for me it was train it until level 15 and pray every attack did some damage but i usually use him last so that most of the pokemon i did train helped to damage that onix
I like that you change your team each gym battle, it makes each team unique when battling each opponent. I also liked when you predicted dugtrio attacks

The worst status move in Gen1, Gen2, and the original sound recently returned in Gen8 with Sword and Shield, but thankfully they dropped down the volume of the earrape. Anyway, I kinda prefer Brock. Sure, he's a Rock-type Gym Leader and I'm a trainer who trains teams that are uniquely weak to Water-types, but he's a good man. I mainly chose him thanks to the anime and his skirt-chaser mentality before the end of the Sinnoh arcs.
Imma be honest i demolished gyms 1-4 without a sweat 5-7 I think I did ok and gym 8 wasn't hard. Elite 4 is a good challenge for anyone who ain't speedrunning and the champion u beat 4 times before he even was champion
I know this was years ago but you should have gotten a flying type Pokémon as well before going to the 4th gym because you might struggle a bit with healing.

How much cooler Sabrina would be if they made psywave a real move instead of being one of the worst TMs ever created. Imagine it being the psychic counterpart to Thunder, Blizzard and Fireblast, say a 110 power move with 90 accuracy. Now that would be scary coming from an Alakazam.

It's actually pretty easy because you could easily get 3 of the Kanto starters and they are very strong when fully evolved so it's not hard at all. Even I beaten it.
I don't understand this way to fight. You only use one pok until he's out and choose the following, why don't you use one pok for each ennemy, it would be so much more interesting and spectacular. I don't see the interest therefore.

I mean, this goes all the way to the eight gym leader since Giovanni also uses an unevolved Rhyhorn as his first Pokemon. In contrast, Sabrinas team looks good on paper but her AI has the habit of using the worst moves at the worst times and her psywave flat out just sucks. Wished they made her TM not one of the worst move in the game. Imagine what a menace she would be if psywave actually was a real move with some 100 base power or something but alas...

onyx is suprisingly hard for 1 gym battle. Two of my pokemon dead before my third finished him. the third one is charmeleon

Rock is natural against electric but ground is very strong against it.
I swear, Lt. Surge was the easiest imo since my Lvl 17 Geodude knew Dig and was able to one-shot all of his Pokémon.
For me it was Erika, I one shotted it her whole team with a level 31 dodrio.
