I think people just going with a black and white opinion like "The demo looks better" are missing a lot of finer details and errors in presentation even in the demo. There are tradeoffs in both versions. The demo is not definitively better in all aspects and neither is the final version. Things like articles of clothing and buttons just meshing improperly, poor subsurface scattering, anti-aliasing, etc are all present in the demo and not in the final version. These are mostly design and technical choices made to get a wholistic image or cutbacks to achieve certain levels of performance. The differences here are mostly superficial, but the cohesiveness of the image in the final version is better IMHO -- but marginally so.
Yep, I agree on that.. That's how it is on most trailers they put out. Days gone, both Spider-Man games, God of war etc.. At the end of the day the final release looks way better...
The demo was played on a PC and at E3 a lot of people didn't know that it wasn't played on the PS4. And that's how you notice the quality of the textures, shadows, etc.

from what i had seen in other videos, the bonfire in the parking lot now casts shadow properly and illuminated the scene more naturally. Also screen space reflection is used in most reflective surfaces.
3:28 The volumetric light (affected by fog) is removed from the torchs, exchange by the bloom fx considering the downgrade. 5:40 interior grass look too distract and seem didn't affected by light source or maybe the shader... just different. Could easy change the texture to more darken. Also that car looks downgrade about texture resolution/details. Overall the color tone is different, more red/warmer. the demo looked better than the original lol, people are comparing these two to see if the remaster is now at that level, not to make the remaster look better. if anything, this makes the remaster look worse, not better.

Hopefully they keep Ellie and Dina's relationship as close in the live action show as it was in the game.
