Your channel popped up in my feed today . Regarding the lady on the bike , yes it's unconventional/wreckless of her to be riding out on the main stretch . As an avid cyclist I realize I have to obey the same traffic laws when I'm out there . But I take extra precautions and wear a Hi-Vis vest . One would argue that she has a legal right , but she's being irresponsible and totally wreckless. Be safe out there my friend. Enjoy your videos thusfar . BTW I'm a full-time nomad off-grid guy myself . Perhaps we will cross paths sometime.

the caps on the air inlet stems are for removing the valve stems if for any reason one or more are leaking and need to be replaced 😁

Im in Yuma currently and planning on heading North in April.
My rig is a 97 Volkswagen Rialta, today i just did the regular maintenance that it needed, now im waiting for my SSi check to come so i can buy a new mattress, cause im sleeping on old sofa cushions 😂
I also just installed 300 watts of solar and two 100ah lithium batteries, and got the water heater running.

Ok , so I see you had a low radiator. As a mechanic going on 50 years I have a tip or 2 for you . always keep the basics in your rig . Their cheap , but priceless when you need them ( brake fluid , antifreeze aka radiator fluid, transmission fluid, spare water for radiator. ) keep a close eye on your temperature gauge . It always should be at the 12 O' clock position after the truck warms up . Especially in the southwest where the temps rise & fall , if the temperature gauge begins to rise too high that could mean a few things. It could mean your water pump is going out ( those old C class are infamous for ) or your thermostat in the motor is sticking and not allowing proper water flow . If your temperature rises , ( I know this sounds crazy ) but turn your heater on & turn it up all the way up ! That will release the heat/pressure in the motor . Trust me on this. You mentioned you got the oil changed ( with those old C class you have to be vigilant ) I have a Ford F350 pickup . I tow a 26' travel trailer . Everyday I check my fluids , setup a maintenance service routine for yourself and check your fluids daily . Check your oil after the truck has been off for a few minutes to allow all the oil to drip back into the pan so you don't have an inaccurate reading . Check your transmission fluid ( those old C classes , the dipstick is positioned in the back by the firewall. That's closest to the windshield ) transmission fluid must be checked while the engine is on & idling . If it's low just add a bit . You DON'T want to overfill the transmission fluid, it could possibly affect your seals in your transmission and lead to a leak . I'd recommend going on Google and researching your year/make/model . Learn everything you can about your vehicle. You'll save a ton of money doing things yourself and gain a ton of knowledge. I know this is a lot of information to digest , but it's just the tip of the iceberg lol . Good luck & I'd definitely recommend spending the money to get a transmission flush & fill. That's a lot of weight your hauling around .

Hi there, thanks for the tips. I actually had the water pump replaced about 6 months ago, and then I also had my thermometer for the radiator replaced. I had been having really weird temperature readings and it suddenly spiked like it was in the hot position. So I had my mechanic replace it which fixed that. He said being in dusty desert conditions can sometimes affect thermometers, he said that have to replace them on these off road vehicle which are in the dusty desert a lot. I had the transmission inspected around the same time also. I actually keep radiator fluid with me, in fact I topped off the fluid a couple days ago. But I think there's still something a bit weird going on with the thermometer and I'm going to take it in and have it looked at. It's usually about in the middle 12 0'clock position but it will sometimes go up above that a bit and then below it some. I also had the
