Bonjour Wesley, I would have liked to see more of this mechine and all the steam plant ! Besides this, what is its range of use in terms of RPM ? which pressure ? I can't wait to se more pictures of this plant 😉 Amicalement, Raphaël
Bonjour Raphaël, Ths engine is designed to run at 800rpm and 150psi (10bar?). The boiler is a monotube with mechanical automatic controls for fire and feed water. Fuel is kerosene delivered to a vaporizing burner. Top speed is about 10mph (16.7kmh?)
How did you learn how to operate and maintain steam engines. I’m very interested in steam engines and am having trouble figuring out how to operate one
I grew up around them (there's a picture of my mom pregnant with me on our first steamboat) and had great mentors in my father and other steam friends. A good book to look up is 'steamboats and modern steam launches'. Finding volunteer organizations or places that offer steam engine operator classes are a good resource as well. Where are you located?
@@snaggygroot3701 depends on what you're looking for... I believe there are steam traction engine shows, some steam locomotives, and even marine steam if you're willing to drive a few hours in one direction or another. Out here damn near everything is 2+hr drive anywhere you go.
Many more parts than an internal combustion engine and more fascinating to watch!
Music to my ears!
Same rhythm as my heartbeat. 😂

How many RPM? Looks like a blur when at full speed.
About 800 rpm. I really do wish I could see it at this RPM all the time!
@@WesleyHarcourtSTEAMandMORE Racing is hard (especially when it comes to steam engines) 😁
@@Akitene this is the design speed. I've not tried to exceed it as it starts to make the clutch slip. 😂
