Clench bands and footplate are really nice. They put out great content on RUclips as well covering various workouts/exercises. Not very familiar with Bodylastics but definitely looks great in the tube band and accessory space.
The guys at x3 and harambe should send you out their products to review for the new year. I'd definitely like to hear your opinion on those. But i agree with you abt bodylastics and the clench platform. I use all those, an x3 bar, and rubberbanditz.
That Clench footplate is a game changer for resistance bands workouts. I use it with the Clench handles. It makes it so you don't have to worry about contently adjusting the bands under your feet. You can also prep it with additional bands just like Dave said you can do with the multi-position door anchor. I often will have loop one band horizontal and have to separate bands resting in the vertical slots/holes for me to switch to. I also use the footplate with non-clench resistance bands and it works just fine.
@@DisciplineDave They are made out of fabric. Supposed to be safe, no danger of snapping and not hard on your skin. Not sure how good they are. They do sell them on Amazon. No real reviews on them here on RUclips.
Agree with your opinion on Bodylastics. Great bands. I went through a few sets of inexpensive tube bands...sometimes you get what you pay for. The Bodylastic bands were far superior, and have yet to snap or have any other issues. The more I see the Clench footplate, the more I'm considering pulling the trigger on getting one. Been putting it off due to the cost, but it seems like something that'd definitely enhance some of the exercises I do with my loop bands.
I haven't gotten any new emails, so I don't know how close they are. They are supposed to be user testing the final design. It will be interesting. @@DisciplineDave
Been using cheap bands, but today had yet another snap. Third set I'm through in 6 months. Think I'm going to go bodylastic and possibly get door anchor as well. Do you have a link to go through that will give you commission to support the channel? Would need to be able to deliver to UK though.
@@DisciplineDave So I ended up ordering from Amazon UK to avoid paying shipping. Went for the Warrior set which is 156lb, as didn't want to be any less resistance than the 150lb cheap set which I had before. Don't think I needed to worry about that! The 30 - 120 lb band alone has more resistance than the other band set combined. Enough total resistance that I won't need to think about buying extra bands to challenge myself. The quality is amazing as well. The difference between the build of the ankle straps and handles is incredible. Final point - the handles have rotating cuffs. I find that this makes it easier to squeeze the muscle at the end of some exercises (such as peak bicep curls), and easier to hold my form correctly throughout each set. Top recommendation Dave, many thanks!
Happy new year Dave! Just wanted to let you know I appreciate the time you take to make these very informative videos on resistance bands. Most of my life I've been bodybuilding with dead weight (around 30 years) and after discovering how amazing band resistance training is just as effective as using dead weight reeled me in. I'm predicting 2 generations from now, people will be thinking "how could people use dead weight knowing the damaging effects on their bodies"? Anyway thank you Dave and God bless you for all you do for us.
I have undersun and while I like them, I kind of wish I'd gone with serious steel bands instead. I bought the Grey serious steel band and it's a very high quality, it's layered instead of a single molded band, so it's far less likely to break. I don't abuse my bands at all, I keep them in a carrying case and only use them indoors and I still snapped the extra heavy undersun band and the medium band is starting to crack/split in areas, it's not even a year old.
@naturalobserver1322 deadlift with the instar bar. All I can think is the band was already damaged, the bands were only about 2 weeks old I had only used that particular band about 4 times, I tried contacting undersun but they were not very responsive so I ended up just doing a replacement via Amazon, haven't snapped this one in about 6months but still I think the serious steel bands are a better quality based on my experience with this new grey band I got.
Hi Dave! I've been using loop bands for about three years now and have accumulated quite a collection, including Rubberbanditz, Elitefts, Serious Steel and Undersun. My favorite is probably Rubberbandittz because of the quality and customer service. About a week ago, I ordered my first set of Bodylastic tube bands to add a little variety to my workouts. I ordered the six band set and am assuming I will have to order the heavier band if I like them, or upgrade to the Torrobands. Do you have an opinion on that? Thanks!
Thank you for getting back. I won't receive the band set for about another week or two, I guess they are on back order, but when they come, I will decide if I need the 30, 40 lb. band, or both. Thanks for your opinion, Dave!@@DisciplineDave
Hi! I just subscribed and been doing a lot of research on resistance bands. I wanted to ask you, since I saw a video regarding a curl bar, if you plan on doing a review of the Xbar? I don’t think I found one on your channel. Not the X3 Bar or whatever it is called, but the Xbar from Xbar Fitness? I have really been interested in it, though a bit pricey, and I like that the curl bar can be placed around the neck, which seems different from the curl bar from Bodylastics. Thanks! Love your videos btw!
@@DisciplineDave you can do it with a dinamometer( in Italian Is dinamometro) and you use it to measure strength

Hey Dave, I ordered the Torrobands through an affiliate link of yours 5 MONTHS AGO and still haven't received anything yet. Ive emailed them and heard nothing. I trusted them on the strength of your affiliate link. Give it to me straight Dave. Is this a legit company? Or have I been scammed out of several hundred dollars?
It’s a legit company but they are based in Israel and shipping a comunícate has been bad because of the war. This is why I couldn’t recommend them this year. Our last conversation they said that all shipments will go out but I am not sure when. Sorry for your experience. I wish I could do more.

@DisciplineDave Thanks for the speedy response my friend. I guess I'll just have to wait. Thanks for the info. Peace.
Why aren't bands rated more relevant to actual strength? Bodylastics 8 level bands are listed like this 3 LBS yellow 5 LBS green 8 LBS red 13 LBS blue 19 LBS black 23 LBS purple 30 LBS orange 40 LBS grey instead of this 03-012 LBS yellow 05-020 LBS green 08-032 LBS red 13-052 LBS blue 19-076 LBS black 23-092 LBS purple 30-120 LBS orange 40-160 LBS grey
Thanks!
Thank you so much
You really have changed your mind about bodylastic bands over time

The multiple bands thing is great for a sort of drop set workout. You can easily lower the resistance until absolute failure.
Great video Dave. Have you ever tested the FLEXVIT Resist Bands?; would love to see a review.
Thanks, I have not

Im finding the Bodylastics curl bar sort of heavy. Is this how most bars are? Am I delusional? 😅

You said the bodylastic are the strongest bands you ever seen, but torroband had 350lbs of resistance, am I wrong?
I know but I don’t think it’s really 350 because bodylastics feels stronger. I need to learn how to test the resistance to show people
