Its not listed in the device manager. It was working fine an hour ago. And so it has been for the past 5 years. I changed nothing, aboslutely nothing, from yesterday to today. Thanks, Windows. I'm gonna format my whole computer thanks to you.
I’m going through that right now. The company update removed my Bluetooth entirely from the system including device manager and They refuse to help me bc my warranty expired🤬🤬🤬🤬
Dang love it when Device Manager literally just doesn't have Bluetooth even though i literally used it less than one month ago and they're just like lol idk
@@molkala2084 Try this. make sure your usb bluetooth device is plugged in. Go into windows administrative tools>computer management>device manager uninstall anything thats related to your bluetooth device, so anything named Bluetooth, Bluetooth radio etc and then go down USB controllers and uninstall your device from there too then go into your apps and if your device has any software installed, uninstall that too download driver booster (its free) download.cnet.com/Driver-Booster/3000-18513_4-75992725.html run it, update and install all of the new drivers it finds, then reboot your computer now go into your settings, devices and the bluetooth bar should be back again and u can toggle it on and off as you wish, after 2 days of searching this is the only way i found to fix mine
Hey. I literally can't even complete the first step here. I have a new build and BT was working initially bu after the MS update it is completely nonfunctional not even in the notification area. When I'm in the Bluetooth app box there isn't even an option to turn on or off, just all he other options
The instructions SUCK; it fails epically on the very first step: Go to Action Center and see if Bluetooth is turned on. THERE ISN'T ANY BLUETOOTH THERE!!! Every single thing after that is UTTERLY USELESS because it depends upon the first step being effective, that it works...AND IT DOESN'T!
None of these work! My bluetooth was working just a couple months prior and now with 0 change to my desktop pc it suddenly doesn't work! I have a built in card. 😀 😅
Do I have to go into the registry or something to switch on automatic Bluetooth connection? Why in the world would that be so technically hard to achieve?
Heya, So I followed this tutorial all way to the end. I uninstalled the Bluetooth device like the video mentioned. When I restarted my computer it was not re-installed and the "Scan Hardware Changes" did not reinstall it either. Now instead of it not working, I evidently don't have Bluetooth anymore. Any suggestions?
Hi, Shino. We know that you wish to use your Bluetooth devices to your Windows computer. We're here to help. For further investigation, can you tell us if Bluetooth worked on your computer previously? If yes, what is the make and model of your computer? Can you confirm the current build and version of Windows installed on your PC? Here's a simple guide on how to check it: Press the Windows key + R > Type winver > Press Enter. Have you checked if there's any pending Windows update on your computer? We'll be waiting for your reply.
How's everything, ShinoTenshi? We didn't hear anything back from you. Do you still need help? Kindly let us know along with the information we're asking, so we can assist you accordingly. Stay safe.
If anyone is still having trouble with Bluetooth even after uninstalling and (attempted) reinstalling, try a power cycle. Unplug your PC, then hold down the power button for 30 seconds. After that plug it back in and turn it on again. If you have a laptop, shut down your computer, and then disconnect the battery (might have to watch YT vid for your specific model). After 30 seconds reconnect it. Then turn it on. This usually works if your PC is having issues recognizing software / hardware. Hopefully this helps!

I am trying to unpair a bluetooth headset (Boat Airdopes 203)... I can't unpair any device that I try to connect from it (my smartphone and other wireless headsets...) The version of windows that I am currently using is Windows 10 Pro Build 21H1 (Build No. 19043.906), but that still doesn't explain the issue, as this problem started with build no. 20H2 also I am a part of the Windows Insider Beta Channel I still don't remember what has caused this issue.... I tried the steps that are mentioned in the above video as well as... I have tried to unpair this device several times, but the settings app freezes when I click on unpair I tried to remove the device from Control Panel but that also freezes I tried to remove the device from device manager but when I refresh the devices appear and they don't get removed I tried to install the proper bluetooth driver for my wireless adapter (Intel Wifi 6 AX200 160Mhz) from Intel's website even if the preinstalled driver didn't work but I don't have any success with the new driver I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the bluetooth driver from device manager as well as the driver but it still didn't help that much I also tried CMD commands to check for missing system files such as sfc /scannow chkdsk C: /f /r DISM /online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth and they didn't report any missing files I haven't resetted my PC yet but there are a lot of important files that are still in my PC, but I will try to reinstall windows I know there isn't a problem with my headset as it successfully pairs with my smartphone and another PC and also there isn't a problem with my PC's wireless adapter as I have used a live Ubuntu USB and every bluetooth device pairs and unpairs successfully I was using a wired headset in the meantime... This problem still existed before, but that wasn't that much of an issue as my headset would automatically pair with my PC but now everytime I try to connect my headset with my PC it would immediately disconnect and would never pair, and couldn't unpair it as mentioned above... if you want more detailed information about my PC then here are the specs: CPU: AMD ryzen 5 pro 4650g GPU: AMD Radeon Graphics (integrated) Motherboard: Asus prime B550 M-A Wifi RAM: XPG D30 2x8gb 3200Mhz DDR4 Storage: XPG Gammix S5 256gb NVME 1.3 SSD Toshiba 1tb HDD 2.5 Inch Power Supply: Antec Atom B550 80 plus bronze certified 550 watt I also have one more problem (I don't know if it is related with this bluetooth issue or not) There is one service called as Service Host: Device Setup Manager, and it has very high power usage and also consumes 10% of the CPU this doesn't cause any slowdowns to my PC when I am just using my PC for web browsing and other light usage tasks but when I try to do something CPU intensive (like rendering) it starts to lag a lot... I have used cinebench R23 and I am getting a multi core score of 8564, but when I checked the online scores the exact same CPU, and it is in the 9300s at stock speed...when I try to end the task from device manager the process again appears, and I try to stop it from Services.msc but it fails to stop the service showing "Error code 1053: The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion." but that isn't that much of a serious issue but I would like this getting fixed in some later update... but other than that I am doing well and I am safe with my family... Hope your family / team looks is safe during the lockdown. Have a great day!!!

Thanks very muchfor this video - just about saved my sanity. The bit that worked for me was installing optional drivers !!! Spent a frustrating day trying to install Ugreen bluetooth long range adaptor and a set of bluetooth 5.3 headphones on a beat up laptop with Win10 and bluetooth 4.0 . Not great quality, but good enough for my worn out ancient ears. Can't expect better as the output will be probably be constrained by the bluetooth hardware on my pc. thanks again.... OG
You didn't mention switching playback device to bluetooth device from system realtech audio on the volume control. This mode of connection should have been seamless, why do you keep on complicating things for users.
not helpful at all, why do I ever expect any help from official microsoft sources anyway, theyre always wrong or 200x convoluted and dont know their own products. Just goes to show the best technicians dont work for microsoft.
My wife just had the on/off button for Bluetooth disappear and the computer now says that Bluetooth is not available. We were using a controller just yesterday, not sure what is going on...
Hi, Sean. We apologize for delayed response. Base on our understanding, the Bluetooth has disappeared from your computer. Please send us a DM through our Twitter Support @MicrosoftHelps. We're more than happy to assist. 😀 Have a great day.
Your latest updated screwed my bluetooth headset up, now it studders all the time, I checked on other devices and it works perfectly fine, your shitty updates just fuck everything up. It's ridiculous that I spend so many hours trying to fix this shit and none of the options are helping from all of the forums. It's sucks/.
If the above video doesn't solve the issue do a "Cold restart" Uninstall Bluetooth drivers, shutdown pc and unplug any power sources from your pc. wait 15 sec and plug everything up and turn on pc. This fixed my issue.
Hi there, Leon. Our apologies for the late revert. It appears that the option for your Bluetooth to turn on and off is missing. Is this the first time you experienced the issue? 3. Were there any changes/updates made on your computer prior to the issue? 4. Are you getting any error messages that you can share with us? 5. I had manually downloaded bluetooth drivers, installed them, restarted over and over again, etc. etc., and absolutely nothing worked. I was just about to delete all of my (hidden) bluetooth devices and do a cold reset, but just before that I decided to install _all additional Windows Updates_ and restarting my computer. This resulted in weird booting up issues with my PC, which scared me for a while, but after I restarted my PC _again_ after having just restarted it, everything works fine now -- and I have no idea why.
the bluetooth cannot be turned off and on from windows but with the key connected it connects quietly to the headphones, UACDemoV1.0 appears and in device management it does not see bluetooth but this, what should I do?

Why does Windows need to check for updates after setting up a new USB installation all the time even if you are updating a computer to the newest version and it's not even a day old.. I took an hour and a half to make the USB stick it in a active computer and it took 45 minutes to check for updates when I just grabbed it off of Windows not like anything's going to change I can understand if it was a month old it should just check the version if it matches the latest version install and then if need get updates especially when you just freaking made the disk from Windows web page 5 minutes ago what a waste of my time
It is 2021 and people continue having much complex problems with Bluetooth (BT) than the silly ones described in the video ...and MS just ignore them.....my Windows 10 System Information reported that there is a BT network adapter, despite of that it is not shown in the Device Manager (which listed BT group as hidden)...i deleted all devices under BT and scan for hardware changes ...nothing...the Device Manager does report an unknown device under Other Devices (not under BT group that is not displayed at all)...i have tried almost everything (i have a shi**y Dell XPS 18 1820 that was working till 2d ago when i uninstalled all apps with Chinese characters on their name as they were all suspicious....but i did delete some CN BT app/service and stopped working)....i tried Windows diagnostics but it keeps saying my PC is not BT capable....i also open my PC and disconnected the cables towards what i believe is the BT adapter (it also bears an internal USB adapter where the Logitech Unified receiver is attached) ....i also let the (tablet) PC unplugged and let the battery completely deplete...nothing....i read in the MS webiste that people in 2017 used LInux (probably Ubuntu as dual boot to enable the BT adapter and back to Windows and then it worked....)....this is just a nightmare that last since years....well done MS, you have ruined my life since DOS and Windows 3.1.....
Hello there. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We see that you have concerns about the USB Bluetooth that’s not appearing on “Add device” in your computer. We know how important it is to get this addressed. Let’s work on this together, and we’ll assist you in the best way we can. To know more about the situation, we have some questions for you. Please answer the following: 1. Can you verify which build/version of Windows are you using on your computer? To check, press Windows key + R on your keyboard, then type in “winver” and click OK. 2. May we ask for a screenshot of the part where you’re unable to see USB Bluetooth in “Add device? 3. When did the issue occur? Were there any possible changes/updates made before this happen? 4. Have you tried checking on other USB devices if it will show up from there or not? 5. Just to clarify, when you mentioned that the USB Bluetooth no appears in “add device”, do you mean it’s not being detected to be added? Can you confirm this, please? 6. What troubleshooting steps have you done so far? We look forward to your response.

Thanks for the information provided. When you confirmed that it always occurs, does that mean it never worked even before and you’re unable to connect any Bluetooth devices back then? We’ll wait for your confirmation.
Thanks for getting back to us. If this was previously working and now the computer won’t recognize the Bluetooth adapter, we’d recommend that you try performing a system restore. This will go back from the period when your PC is working accordingly. You may check this article: msft.it/6055XeVdl for the steps and go through the section: “Restore from a system restore point”. To set the expectations, upon performing this step, it won’t affect your personal files, however, it will remove the apps, drivers, and updates installed after the restore point was made. Another recommendation if that won’t work, we’d recommend that you try installing the windows update that may include the actual update for the Bluetooth driver and may help in getting this addressed. To do this, the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update. We hope that helps. Should you have any clarifications, don’t hesitate to let us know.
This video is useless because the Bluetooth device manager does not appear in the Device manager list. It was there before but after updating to Windows10Pro it disappeared. Thank You Microsoft for nothing!
Hi. We saw your comment. We understand that you're experiencing issues with the missing Bluetooth device manager in Windows 10 Pro and you have checked the video in that article, yet didn't work for you. Let us look into this, and we'll do our best to help. To give some insights, the disappearance of the Bluetooth device manager from the Device Manager after updating to Windows 10 Pro can be caused by several factors such as outdated or incompatible Bluetooth drivers, corrupted system files, it might be hidden in Device Manager, physical hardware changes (such as adding or removing a Bluetooth adapter) could impact device detection or Some third-party software (such as security tools or system optimizers) can interfere with Bluetooth functionality, etc. So, we'll ask some questions to narrow this down: 1. Did you notice the Bluetooth device manager disappearing immediately after updating to Windows 10 Pro, or did it happen gradually over time? 2. Is your Bluetooth adapter integrated into the motherboard or an external USB Bluetooth dongle? 3. Have you encountered any error messages or warnings related to Bluetooth? If so, sharing a screenshot would be helpful. 4. Besides watching the video, have you tried any additional steps to address this issue? We'll closely monitor for your response.
We haven't heard back from you in a while now. We would like to know if you were able to see the Bluetooth device manager on your device. If not, and the issue still persists, please let us know by answering the questions above. All the best!
Hi, Pranav. Thank you for reaching out to us. We understand that you're having issues with your Bluetooth as it's not showing on your device manager. We'll make sure to do our best to help you with this as you might be using your device for work or school purposes. For us to further check your missing Bluetooth issue, please provide us the following: 1. Were there any changes or updates made before the issue happened? 2. Are you getting any error messages when experiencing the issue, or when trying to use Bluetooth? 3. May we confirm which Windows version are you using on your PC? To check, just press the Windows logo key + R, type winver in the Open box, and then select OK. 4. Have you done any troubleshooting steps on your end to fix the issue? This is for us not to provide you the same steps you've already tried. We'll wait for your reply.

Hello there! Thank you for reaching to us. We hear that you're having trouble with Bluetooth on your Windows PC. Rest assured, we're here to provide the assistance you need. Let's try to get to the bottom of this. Here are a few questions to help us diagnose the issue: 1. Were you able to use Bluetooth before, or is this the first time you're trying to use it? 2. If this is the first time, have you checked with your OEM to confirm if your device has Bluetooth capability included? 3. If it worked before, when did the issue start? 4. Have any changes been made to the device, such as downloading new software or changing hardware components? 5. What troubleshooting steps have you already tried? Your answers to these questions will help us narrow down the possible causes and find a solution. Please let us know.

Thank you for letting us know! We understand that your Bluetooth adapter is not being recognized. We're here to help you out the best we can. To do so, we need to verify a few details. 1. From what device is this Bluetooth adapter for? 2. Are you able to use this Bluetooth adapter on this PC before or this is the first time? 3. How are you connecting the Bluetooth adapter to your PC? Have you tried using it on a different PC already? 4. Which version of Windows is currently installed on your PC? We will be expecting your reply so we can continue the support.
@@MicrosoftCustomerSupport Hi, thank you for responding. Bluetooth stopped working after the latest Win 11 update got auto-installed yesterday. Good news, after much wrangling and rebooting, the adapter is now recognized. But now I can't pair up my logitech bluetooth mouse. Bluetooth says it can't connect to the mouse when it sees it. Most of the time it can't even detect the mouse. Everything was working fine for months before yesterday's Win 11 update.

Hi, were you manage to fix this?
All a windows update could do is to break stuff :)
This is the most pathetic “helping” video ive ever seen. All the simple things but nothing beyond that. Thanks for nothing😊
None of these work! My bluetooth was working just a couple months prior and now with 0 change to my desktop pc it suddenly doesn't work! I have a built in card. 😀 😅
Nothing fucking works. Why the hell was it working 5 minutes ago, and now it doesn't?! Can't find it, and wont connect?! FUCK FUCK FUCK?!?!
Do I have to go into the registry or something to switch on automatic Bluetooth connection? Why in the world would that be so technically hard to achieve?

I can't unpair any device that I try to connect from it (my smartphone and other wireless headsets...)
The version of windows that I am currently using is Windows 10 Pro Build 21H1 (Build No. 19043.906), but that still doesn't explain the issue, as this problem started with build no. 20H2
also I am a part of the Windows Insider Beta Channel
I still don't remember what has caused this issue....
I tried the steps that are mentioned in the above video as well as...
I have tried to unpair this device several times, but the settings app freezes when I click on unpair
I tried to remove the device from Control Panel but that also freezes
I tried to remove the device from device manager but when I refresh the devices appear and they don't get removed
I tried to install the proper bluetooth driver for my wireless adapter (Intel Wifi 6 AX200 160Mhz) from Intel's website even if the preinstalled driver didn't work but I don't have any success with the new driver
I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the bluetooth driver from device manager as well as the driver but it still didn't help that much
I also tried CMD commands to check for missing system files such as
sfc /scannow
chkdsk C: /f /r
DISM /online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
and they didn't report any missing files
I haven't resetted my PC yet but there are a lot of important files that are still in my PC, but I will try to reinstall windows
I know there isn't a problem with my headset as it successfully pairs with my smartphone and another PC
and also there isn't a problem with my PC's wireless adapter as I have used a live Ubuntu USB and every bluetooth device pairs and unpairs successfully
I was using a wired headset in the meantime...
This problem still existed before, but that wasn't that much of an issue as my headset would automatically pair with my PC but now everytime I try to connect my headset with my PC it would immediately disconnect and would never pair, and couldn't unpair it as mentioned above...
if you want more detailed information about my PC then here are the specs:
CPU: AMD ryzen 5 pro 4650g
GPU: AMD Radeon Graphics (integrated)
Motherboard: Asus prime B550 M-A Wifi
RAM: XPG D30 2x8gb 3200Mhz DDR4
Storage:
XPG Gammix S5 256gb NVME 1.3 SSD
Toshiba 1tb HDD 2.5 Inch
Power Supply: Antec Atom B550 80 plus bronze certified 550 watt
I also have one more problem (I don't know if it is related with this bluetooth issue or not)
There is one service called as Service Host: Device Setup Manager, and it has very high power usage and also consumes 10% of the CPU
this doesn't cause any slowdowns to my PC when I am just using my PC for web browsing and other light usage tasks but when I try to do something CPU intensive (like rendering) it starts to lag a lot...
Have a great day!!!

i fucking hate windows problems
Why does Windows need to check for updates after setting up a new USB installation all the time even if you are updating a computer to the newest version and it's not even a day old.. I took an hour and a half to make the USB stick it in a active computer and it took 45 minutes to check for updates when I just grabbed it off of Windows not like anything's going to change I can understand if it was a month old it should just check the version if it matches the latest version install and then if need get updates especially when you just freaking made the disk from Windows web page 5 minutes ago what a waste of my time
Windows has become a massive waste of time.. I'm not sure why I even own Microsoft stock
It's now 2024 and still a cluster!
Thanks a lot you are the only one who solved my bluetooth connection problem. Clear and concise instructions.

I DON"T HAVE A TOGGLE FOR BLUETOOTH WTF!!!
I don't have Bluetooth have on my windows 10
So, we'll ask some questions to narrow this down:

@v KEITH v I also tried this and it’s not in there
@v KEITH v yup
Hi there! We understand that the Bluetooth icon is missing on your computer's Device Manager despite trying all our recommendations. Allow us to help you further.
One possible reason why it is not showing on the Device Manager is if your computer doesn't have a Bluetooth capability.
For us to better assist you, we'd like to clarify the following:
1. What is the make and model of your device?
2. Which version of Windows is installed in it?
3. Do you have a Bluetooth connection before? If yes, have you made any recent changes on your computer that might have caused the issue?
We'll wait for your response.
Hi. We haven't heard back from you. We hope everything is okay now. Regards.
@v KEITH v i uninstalled then restarted. Shit doesnt work
i literally cant watch this video, my headphones wont connect to my pc

2. Are there any changes made to your device prior to it, such as downloading software or changing hardware components?
3. What is the current version of Windows you are using? To check, press the Windows logo key + R, type Winver in the Open box, and then select OK.
We'll look forward to your response.

Good tips
amazing tutorial. too bad i can't hear it because my bluetooth only headphones wont stay connected for more than 2 seconds unless i connect to my linux laptop XD. linux is just better even with drivers.
I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that Linux might be the way forward for me. Big change though for this old git to get used to.
Bluetooth could not be enabled, but device manager shows the driver under hidden devices. I will try the remedies available here or on other YT channels. But the question is why does this happen suddenly out of nowhere? Need to know that to prevent a recurrence, if any.
Hello, it seems I have the exact same problem you had. Do you still remember how you fixed it, if you did?
Yeahh Bluetooth doesn't even seem to exist on my Windows pc. It won't even show up in Device Manager.
Hello there! Thank you for reaching to us. We hear that you're having trouble with Bluetooth on your Windows PC. Rest assured, we're here to provide the assistance you need.
Let's try to get to the bottom of this. Here are a few questions to help us diagnose the issue:
@@MicrosoftCustomerSupport 1. No, at least not on this computer. I copied data over from my laptop, which allowed for Bluetooth.
2. Before I ordered this computer, on the list of statistics it stated that Bluetooth was included.
4. This computer has all the same programs as my previous one did.
5. I tried the steps provided on the pc but it just says "Device does not have Bluetooth"
Thanks for sharing the details. Can you share with us the make and model of your laptop? Have you already checked the device manufacturer's website for information related to Bluetooth connection? Keep us posted.
