@@noaheastmansw oh. Great. I served in Sourashtra College, Madurai for more than 35 years, RTD in 2015, then working as Director for MBA program in the same college, till Date.
That Woman had turned the World upside down, Whenever we look up to the life of hers, We'd question ourselves what kind of Love and passion are we carrying for the Lord!!!! Such a fire she carried.. Even her name just stirs the waters of my heart... Thanks for the Documentary!
I had the honor to have lived on that campus for 8 years, worshiped at that chapel. And studied at the school for the Indian Missionaries in buildings that’s Amy built. We called it the red fort with blue army as our uniforms were blue.
My mother was brought up by Amma and I have visited Dohnavur fellowship and stayed couple of weeks several times I born in Dohnavur fellowship Hospital paramasugasalai. I will be happy to meet all from the Dohnavur fellowship.
Lovely and beautiful video of my home town, Dohnavur Fellowship. I am proud to be and one of the luckiest child of our dearest Amy Amma. One day I will see her in Heaven. Amen God bless our Dohnavur Fellowship.
I just read her autobiography Life and Legacy of Amy Carrmichael. My God, the faith she had made me feel very small. Its so encouraging to see what Dohnavur fellowship today is.
True. She took my mom into fellowship when my mom was just 7day old child She lived there upto her age of 33 and my father married her in 1956.Both lived happily with two children myself and my younger Br. My mom passed away at the age of 72.
I had been to Dohnavur two years ago along with my fellow Believer brothers who took me there. It was an unforgettable experience. Amy Carmichael Amma was a thorough disciple of Lord Jesus Christ and a woman of the Cross that Lord Jesus Christ commanded us to carry. Her Love, faith, humility, and the steely determination in Christ never ceases to amaze me. India esp the southern states owe a lot to her for bringing an end to the abominable Devadasi system. God bless Dohnavur fellowship, the Legacy of Amy Carmichael Amma and bless many more through the fellowship in the name of Lord Jesus Christ!
It is a pleasure seeing the neighbourhood of the school where i studied. Thank you Tim for the wonderful video and for taking the time to visit and study Amy Carmichael's legacy!
Many kids from here are serving in different capacities. They are educated upto graduation given in marriage as well. There is also a school.and hostel for missionary children. Great work and service.
Amma do you know my mother lived there upto 1956 and she was married to my father, Mr. Soundararajan. I Born on 26th June 1957 in paramasugasalai and mother was brought by paripu Amma and others. My mom's name was Leela and I had a younger brother too. We lived happily and my father died in 1993 at the age of 80 amd mom died in 2000 at the age of 72. In 2000. I am S.Thiagarajan worked as a prof in Madurai and retired I 2015.Am 63 now. Younger Br.passed away some years back. Am married and have a son. Pl pray for my family. Especially for my son's marriage. I will be happy if you could find any photo of my mother during her stay there. I am told that she lived there for 33 years with Amma.
I'm from Amy's obscure wee village of Millisle. If Nathanael were around today, he'd probably say the same thing about Millisle as he did about Nazareth. Alas, Oakville, ON, is home now. A different kind of mission field for one of Millisle's children ;-) Not too far from you Tim!
Those days people with nothing but strong devotion to Christ went to distant lands and worked tirelessly for humanity, sad to to see the Western nations now how much they deteriorated morally.
