    The part at 29:40 where you say you have to do it 52 times, you actually dont! if you highlight the dates+the extra rows underneth you can continue the patern using the cross in the right corner. hope this makes sense! Just make sure you are not highlighting rows from above the dates only underneth. you can also continue the pattern for the weekly inserted numbers by doing the same thing! Hope this helps :D

      If the spreadsheet didn't have blanks where the subtotals, I agree. Doing it your way works, but it will "date" those rows too 🥲

      @@AskYourComputerGuy you just need to copy the blank rows also. Just make sure you copy the 2 blank rows underneath. I have done it myself and worked perfect :) perhaps I’m not explaining myself right.

    This was so GREAT! I have taken hours of Excel classes at work and never gained the knowledge that you shared. You share in a style that is understandable for the average Excel user :) One question...when I do your final formula pulling the Bills sheet to sheet one, I keep getting an error that says there's something wrong with the formula. I've reviewed it a few times and have the correct cell & row references. Was wondering if there is an updated formula or something?

    I was tryna keep that running totals for DD in one column and I made a separate column for it. For some reason it didn’t click that I could just place it a t the top of the column until I saw your video. I was always tryna place it at the bottom and couldn’t/haven’t figured out if there is even a way. But thanks to your video, at least I can have everything in one column.

    Extremely helpful considering the transition from accounting software from one-time pay over to monthly subscription only. An alternative video might be an idea for free and local financial accounting software. I'm a QuickBooks slave so I'm pretty ignorant in this category of alternatives.
    Personally I know lots of businesses are trapped on a non-upgradable version of QuickBooks Pro but only if they use an outside payroll service. Otherwise, they're stuck with a monthly or yearly subscription service from now to eternity. It's crazy, Intuit doesn't even sell a one-time pay version of their personal Quicken anymore. Speaking for myself, it's way too invasive for me to have my financials on some third-party website. The banks are regulated whereas these companies are not.

    • @AskYourComputerGuy
      @AskYourComputerGuy  Год назад +1

      Agree. My suggestion is always go on eBay, buy the last version of QuickBooks on CD or DVD, and unless you need "new features and support" (most people don't), use that. Forever. QuickBooks and accounting hasn't changed in 100 years, why do you need to keep paying for "new" stuff that isn't new? 👍

    Awesome video, the content provided I can apply to my financial approach for income and expense. Still, I saw you had additional information on your bills sheet beside the daily and weekly calculations. I saw you had something labelled balance sheet can you provide some insight on why you have it on the sheet.

      Thanks so much, glad you found it useful. What you were probably looking at was my individual credit card notes. I keep up with my balances, due dates and APR just as "notes" for reference. They don't serve any real purpose in the spreadsheet

    Very enlightening! This was the stumbling block I ran into when planning on my online business. I know people who've lost their (physical) businesses due to the IRS and the business owners' accountants screwing-up so that always made me shy away from starting a business and relying on W2 and 1099 (contractor) jobs. 🙂
    I just KNEW I had good ideas for businesses after seeing others successfully pursue the same but everytime I searched online for such tools as THIS provides I was scared off.
    Question though. You noted the need to create a template with 52 sections (weeks). Are there any automated tools to do the repetitive functions - plug and play template creators? And automated tax accounting?

    • @AskYourComputerGuy
      @AskYourComputerGuy  11 месяцев назад

      I'm sure there are and honestly I wish I knew them. This started out as basically a plus and minus column type of thing and it evolved into what you see. So I've just done the weeks by hand. Minor inconvenience but it works

    • @AskYourComputerGuy
      @AskYourComputerGuy  Год назад

      Subcategory where? For income source, or a new bill? I show in the video exactly how to add a new item, row or column for each. And maintaining "payment", if I understand you, is simply entering the number into a cell. If you're looking for automation / bank connection stuff, this is not for you. This is just a Ezcel income tracking spreadsheet...you would need something like QuickBooks or Quicken to handle the more advanced stuff that you want.

      I would just insert another column *after* you have all the formulas plugged in. It will automatically adjust the individual cell counts that way. That's what is easiest for me. You should be able to just select a column where you want the new one, then from the menu bar, "insert | column"

      I think you're thinking of this of more of "money management" and less "tracking". I set this up solely for knowing at any point during the week where I was for the remainder of the week. How your money is sent back and forth is really not something you can do with this. Ok, maybe you could implement it, but not this particular spreadsheet. This is just for tracking income and expenses. How and where you move your money is an entirely different thing :)

    hey! It's good to see you Wow you've gotten like 7K extra subs since I last saw you! I've learned a lot about PC's and stuff from you and your vids but I have 1 question, I recently came across something called the Your File Is Ready To Download.exe "virus" or what ever it is I immediately tried deleting it it says Need permission from (Enter my username on my pc) I try this a few more times and no such luck. So I used Malware bites to scan for threats and it found 23 of them (It removed them all) I did a second scan after and no threats popped up, but the original file I downloaded is still there even though Malware bites says there are no threats is it good? Will I just have to "live" with this .exe on my pc or is there a way I can forcibly remove it?

    • @AskYourComputerGuy
      @AskYourComputerGuy  Год назад

      Hey buddy! Good to see you again! Yes you can remove it. There is a free utility called "unlocker" that will delete ANY file (may require a reboot. You should be able to find it on Bleeping Computer

      Check your startup items. You might have some boogers running at startup that you can remove. You can disable any of the items, it won't hurt your system. If you don't know what it is, or are pretty sure it's not "legit", disable and after the next reboot, see if you have any different results. I don't think disconnecting from internet is necessary at this point
