Slow down when you're driving in extremely wet and flooding road conditions. If you don't slow down you will hydroplane. I was in a major auto accident in Nashville, TN in August of 2017, because the other driver was speeding, hydroplaned and slammed into the passenger side of my truck. I hurt my back during that accident. I still have occassional back pain that I will always have. Please slow down when the roads are wet. It's better that you take your time than get into a car accident. Be safe out there.
We need to reduce imprevious surfaces in the cities of CA and replace them with grassed swales that can hold water and let it seep back into aquifer. We need to plants trees to absorb floodwater and revegetate riparian areas along water ways to help reduce flood waters. Climate change is here and this will happen over and over again. We are SO behind the game of getting prepared.
It always like this in Encinitas no sewer system. I remember when iit would rain hard and the streets would flood. People would be having fun paddling around on surfboards .

Park Blvd at Mission Ave in City of San Diego floods during normal rains. The bus stop is flooded out and nearby properties flood.
